Have been waiting for another pool podcast forever
id rather watch a school bus fire than a one pocket match
I’ve always been a fan of Pool and UFC, this is awesome to have Fedor on the pod cast. I was right in the front row at the 2025 US Open. Fedor killed a fly on the table and everyone cheered, it was hilarious! You should get Shaw on the show!
I got an 8 ball and cue ball signed by Fedor Gorst for my dad and brother, he was very pleasant to deal with
Joe has helped our sport so much as he is doing with this podcast and the last with Fedor. But he could help so much more. I think he knows that but I’m sure he’s very busy for obvious reasons. If he can single handedly sway the vote for the presidential election. Imagine the possibilities for the game and its players. We poolplayers would love for everybody too understand what was spoke about in the beginning of this pod (understanding what we do) simply because its an absolutely amazing game of mental strength, discipline and dedication, which brings euphoric highs but also terrible lows, which is where the strengths come in.
Hey Joe! Never have Dave smith on again. He is capatalizing on politics because he is a failed comedian. He makes money now on pillaging politics. Dont be Dave
If this dude ever changes careers, it’d be Archeological ancient history youtube channel. He’s got that face.
This isn’t Alex Jones or Ashton Forbes, Joe is a spook
A bunch of grown men acting like selfish children…. That’s archeology 😂
WE NEED SHANE SO BADLY!
Joe mentioning Mohammad Soufi made my day. He’s such a great player to watch!
How did you not set up a match on JRE?
Zahi doesn’t want anything found by anyone but him. He has to be able to sell off anything valuable to the highest bidder on the black market to financially enrich himself.
Hello Jeff is in the witness protection program now seriously they faked his death very well He’s alive and kicking
2 hours in, and I realized I dont know shit about pool but I like russian trap music lmao
Thank you Joe for bringing on Gorst. Please do more and do some commentating. What you are doing for this game is amazing. Thank you so much!!!
boring redundant shit
I loved this talk
The only thing more boring than watching golf is listening to a golfer talking about it.
According to Quantum Physics, nothing on the table actually touches, not even when you hear the clanking of the balls upon break.
There is some sound barrier that is being broken upon break.
It’s all electric impulse of magnetics and physics. On curvature, no less. Wild stuff.
This video features Joe Rogan and professional pool player Fedor Gorst discussing various aspects of professional pool and Gorst’s career.
Here’s a summary of their conversation:
Fedor Gorst’s Hectic Schedule and Current Form (0:48-1:08): Gorst talks about his packed schedule, including playing in the World Championships in Saudi Arabia and the Florida Open, leading to four back-to-back events. He expresses feeling tired from constantly being on the road.
Modern Pool vs. All-Time Greats (1:09-2:00): Joe Rogan asserts that if Gorst is the best player today, he’s the best of all time, due to the tougher conditions and higher skill level in contemporary pool. Gorst mentions a “sick” three-rail kick shot he recently made.
Filipino Influence on Kicking (2:01-2:10): They discuss how Filipino players, particularly Efren Reyes and Carlo Biado, put “kicking” (a type of shot in pool) on the map and are considered the best at it.
Evolution of Pool Conditions and Rules (2:36-3:50): Gorst explains how playing conditions have changed, with professional players now using 9-foot tables and tighter 4-inch pockets, making the game more challenging. They also discuss changes in breaking formats, like the “nineball on the spot” rule, and how players quickly adapt to new rules.
Matchroom’s Impact on Professional Pool (4:15-5:01): Both credit Matchroom for significantly elevating the sport of pool, creating more events, and making it accessible through platforms like the World Nineball Tour and their YouTube channel, leading to a boom in social media interest.
Joe Rogan’s Disguise Story (5:30-6:59): Joe Rogan shares an unconfirmed story about former President Obama being fooled by a CIA disguise, highlighting the effectiveness of modern special effects makeup.
Fedor Gorst’s Ranking and Marathon Matches (7:28-8:50): Gorst confirms he is currently ranked number one based on prize money combined over two years. They discuss the intensity of “long races,” like Gorst’s three-day match against Shane, which involved 120 games and a significant amount of money.
Immigration and Pool’s Welcoming Nature (12:10-13:48): Rogan praises America as a nation of immigrants where people are welcomed if they “do it the right way.” Gorst expresses gratitude for the welcome he has received. They both agree that in the pool world, skill is paramount, and players are judged solely on their ability.
Pressure in Professional Pool (14:38-15:00): Gorst describes the high pressure of professional matches, where emotions can be intense, and players need to manage shaking hands and bridges.
Audience Behavior and Moscone Cup (18:21-19:53): They discuss the unique, boisterous atmosphere of the Moscone Cup, where fans are actively loud and sometimes try to “shark” players, contrasting it with the usual respectful silence at most pool tournaments.
Soft Breaking and Speed Gun Solution (21:01-22:25): Gorst mentions a controversial “soft breaking” rule, which is subjective. Rogan proposes using a radar or speed gun to objectively measure break speed, suggesting a minimum speed of 18 mph (23:50) to encourage harder breaks and add a new element to the game.
Physical Toll of Pool and Recovery (29:42-31:47): They discuss how pool, being a one-sided sport, can lead to back and neck issues. Gorst shares his personal experience with a bulging disc and how a pre-match routine, stretching, and resistance band exercises have helped him manage pain and play longer.
Cold Plunges for Recovery (32:11-32:53): Gorst and Rogan discuss the benefits of cold plunges for reducing inflammation and improving recovery, especially when done first thing in the morning. They advise against doing it right before playing due to muscle tightness.
The only thing pool needs is JOE ROGAN!
every fucking day jamie is whacking balls🤣
43:12 nice joe u gave my cat a heart attack
Get Earl Strickland on the podcast! He would have the craziest glambling stories
Fedor is so humble and so polite… even when someone is soft breaking.
amazing how its rare to see someone win a major in their 40s look at hohmann for instance..the guy is only 46 and he looks so old out there
Loved this one. I just started pool almost a year ago and joined a apa league. After one week I was hooked. It’s all I think about and watch a ton on YouTube. Seems like every time I take a step forward I end up talking two steps back with my game. 😢😅. Fedor is correct that most apa SL 1-4 don’t know who Fedor or SVB are. It’s sad
This guy seems to think he is awesome
Fedor is a pretty cool guy. I’ve liked his appearances, and I don’t care about billiards or pool at all.
PLEASE SET IT UP IN AUSTIN!!!!
This guy so boring jfc
Is Fedor the greatest pool player in the world? Arguably yes. No doubt top 3. Is his style fun to watch? For me no. is he a colossal puss especially as it comes to the soft breaking? Yes.
Where Duncan been? It’s time!
1 more episode closer to Mike Baker and or Dave Smith 🙄
I could not give a shit about pool. That being said, hearing two people talk about something so foreign to me, in such a passionate way, makes me want to learn. Also how is this guy 25?
Suey eyes.
Ronny O’Sullivan. Not American Pool, but way harder.
Joe Rogan: Your the best in the world
Days after getting destroyed by a Random no weight name pool player from out of no where Philippines
as far as the hearing aid you have to pretend he doesnt have one..cant force a player to wear hearing aids so turning them down should make no difference
the simulacrum keeps getting even more hyper realistic
Evgeny Stalevs break was not as powerful as Bustamantes. Larry Nevel had one of the hardest breaks I’d argue harder than Bustys.
Who else is waiting for him to talk about the Raja incident?
He is a much mature person since 2 years ago. Impressive.
Nick Fuentes
Alex jones it’s time !!!
Alex jones !!
Ive been waiting for a pool player on a podcast for such a long time
