1:52:38 ‘podcasts so popular…you can talk about anything’ (kinda like what we’re doing right now) haha jabs thrown, took Robinson’s breath away.
One of the most interesting conversations I’ve ever heard between two people.
I enjoyed this interview. Great to hear from Chris Robinson. I felt like I got to know Chris. All this time, I thought that Rich was the older brother and they were from California.
I do agree with Chris and Joe about The Rolling Stones. I went to their second show at Soldier Field in Chicago. Mick, Keith and Ronnie still have it.
You know what I mean?
The Southern Harmony and Musical Companion is my favorite album of all time. The crowes are in my top 10 all time favorite bands.
There is NO definitive proof that Christians destroyed the librarys in Alexandria…surprised you wouldn’t at least challenge this BS Joe.
Always refreshing to have an episode with an effeminate man talking about nothing in between all the masculine crazyness happening rn🙌
Thanks for being so inclusive Joseph🙏
this guy sucks, wheres alex jones bro
Hey Chris! You know me as Mr. Barry. What you said about taking two years off and never getting it back. 100% I have arthritis (for lack of a better term) it hurt to play guitar so I stopped playing at least daily. Then my son became a professional musician, and he was coming to visit so I bought a new electric guitar and started playing every day again. The good news, I have less pain when I play, the bad news, lost my chops, lost theory, transposing on the fly, gone. I’m clawing back still 8 years on, but I’ll never be what i was. As far as the muse – again 100%. I think of it as fire and you don’t want it to go out, but it will – I just am happy knowing it will come back to me. As one gets older one hopes they can take the time to take advantage of the moment.
Chris has really mellowed out as he’s gotten older. I met him once walking around his hotel in Telluride, Colorado before a gig, he just said “yeah”. The Black Crowes are definitely one of the best Rock and Roll bands of all time, I have seen them live multiple times and they absolutely rock. They are as good as the Stones but don’t have quite as many iconic songs, although they definitely have a bunch. I really miss rock and roll. One thing Chris said and that I respect is the reverence and respect people had for the music back in the day. It really was a way of life and a world view. So much more than just the music, it was a community. It’s really said to see it decline but it makes sense as the entire country has declined on so many levels. I appreciate hip hop for what it is, especially the roots of hip hop and Chris is correct that it was very similar to rock and roll in terms of its meaning and giving a voice to a segment of society. Too bad so much of the modern popular artists glorify consumerism, misogony, superficiality etc… I guess its kind of like the hair metal era of rock. Hopefully a revolutionary new movement will happen.
This is the one for you conspiracy nuts
THIS! This was an AMAZING episode. Im a huge Black Crowes fan. Chris is such an interesting Dude and what a story teller. Loved this. First Rogans podcast I’ve watched from start to finish in a while. Wiser Time may be one of the greatest songs in my favorites. No one I know of Black or White, sings with more soul and feeling than Chris Robinson.
Huge Black Crowes fan, the new album is GREAT. One of their best.
Too bad Chris didn’t have a hand in the mastering of his latest album blows. Chris probably needs to revisit this because it’s a travesty for his art.
Saw the Crowes in May! They still Rock🤘
I *do* know what you mean Chris…
17:49 ridiculous.all of mainstream media is hip hop.snoop dog is in a hot pocket commercial.10 years before I knew who drake was,I thought he was the guy from the sprite commercial. 95% of all young people only listen to hip hop for the last 40 years.and they’re all the worst examples for our children.
Saw the Black Crowes at Wembley Stadium 1999 on my 14th birthday supporting Aerosmith. What a great day!
I LOVE YOUR INTEGRITY JOE YOU ARE THE MAN A REAL AMERICAN AND HUMAN🙏🏼 STAY ELEVATED
Chris Robinson is the most underrated singer in rock history imo.
Day 7 of commenting until
Joe does a podcast with Eminem!
chris in his prime was the greatest frontman in rock.
This is Chris Delia’s body double
If you removed every ‘you know what I mean’ this podcast would be 27 min long.
You know what I mean?
Keep doing you joe , we dont need alex jones fr fr
My people!!!
I think it’s time to cancel my Spotify account since y’all edit the music out. No point in paying for that shit now.
Another ” who “
Boring.
Robinson is as boring as whale shit.
Ya know what I mean
thank you Chris! you have inspired me to play whatever i want again! F*ck expectation. Expectation is pre meditated resentment! may we ALL be lifted
I absolutely know what you mean, Chris. Stop asking me.
This is my favorite beginning of an episode. Columbo is must watch material
Ya know
Chris is a total major asshole.
Do you know what I mean? 😆
But what do you mean?
Chris Robinson sounds a lot like Steve Earle if you listen to his Sirius Radio show and listen to this you wouldn’t be able tell then apart
Chris sounds like the coolest guy to hang out with
I couldn’t name a Black Crowes song but this was a great discussion. Cool guest!
Chris is a highly intelligent person. Great hearing his story and educated perspective on his life
To many choices and increasingly endless convenience makes anything/everything not special anymore. Eating cake once a years is special eating cake everyday makes you sick and hate cake. Strange so few people realize this and constantly chase a better/betting high.
Have Green Day on.
Leave a like if you want Joe to become President of the USA.
Watched most of it then realized he’s not from counting crowes
Is Joe Rogan is taking a break from interviewing crazy people?
I love the Black Crowes. I love Chris Robinson. When God was passing out soul Chris must have stood in line twice. Gen X at its finest. Say what you mean. Risk brings reward. Thanks Joe RFK jr 24 So the right thing. ✊🏽✌🏼🤘🏿🖖
Depending how n how much Joe likes you is how long the podcast is. Over 3 he really likes the convo, under 2 he wishes he didn’t have you on. This is the truth. Look into it.
