Charley Boorman modern-day adventurer, travel writer and entertainer returns to Africa in August 2013 for a 15,000 kilometer motorcycle adventure…
Cape Town – August 20th: Charley Boorman is no stranger to the continent of Africa or indeed South Africa & Cape Town. This August Charley Boorman will be basing his team at the DoubleTree By Hilton Upper Eastside Hotel, Cape Town as they prepare for an incredible 15,000-kilometer BMW motorcycle adventure ride from Cape Town north to the Skeleton Coast of Namibia and onwards to the ‘Smoke that Thunders’, Victoria Falls, Zambia. From there they continue East, taking in the beauty of Malawi and then travel down the edge of the Indian Ocean through Mozambique before a deserved rest halt in South Africa’s largest city, Johannesburg. The last leg of this incredible journey takes them over the ‘Kingdom in the Mountains’ Lesotho and the infamous Sani Pass, finishing back in Cape Town on the 8th of October.
Charley’s recently broadcast “Charley Boorman’s South African Adventure’ has been a great success internationally and so his love for Africa is no secret which is why he’s leading this lucky group of world riders on an African adventure of a lifetime.
Whilst here in Cape Town, Charley will be available for press and media interviews at the DoubleTree by Hilton Upper Eastside Hotel and / or studios where required. Charley will be able to talk about his TV shows, his current motorcycle adventure and his new TV series ‘Extreme Frontiers USA’ which is planned to air early in 2014.
Amongst other activities during his stay, he’ll be presenting ‘An Evening with Charley Boorman’ at a local location, which will be open to the public. This will be an opportunity to hear Charley’s full story, see amazing video clips of his world wide antics and ask questions directly to the man himself.
