LOLA MALONE – MONDAY MOB

Lola Malone’s is more than your regular tattoo and piercing spot, with a wide range of merchandise available and with the new addition of Sweeney from Dukesbarbershop, the “Monday Mob” promises more than just your regular visit to your local tattoo artist!
Lola Malone is changing the game with Monday Mob by creating an environment that will give both existing tattoo fanatics and newcomers a fresh insight into the tattoo scene. There is more to the art of tattooing than just needles and ink, and Lola Malone’s Monday Mob proves it.
The whole idea behind Monday Mob is to create a more social vibe in the growing tattoo community in Durban, encouraging people to come through to their shop and hang out on the night, have a drink, get tattooed or even just be a part of the experience and check out the shop, which is filled with nostalgic figurines and prints of art and illustration they have collected over the years.
The shops artists Nic and Dok draw up these dope flash sheets of 5cm7cm pieces in each of their signature neo-traditional styles which you can choose from at a discounted rate starting at R450.
You can pretty much just walk in and put your name down and walk away with a dialed little piece an hour or two later.
This time they bumped it up a notch by even including an in house barber, Sweeney from Dukes Barber shop, who was supplying a clean cuts and shaves in a chair that looked like it was from the rockabilly ages. Even Sweeney ended up getting a rad piece on the side of his neck from Nic.
Tarzan, the shop manager catered for those with the munchies with some delicious Panini’s he whipped up for anyone who popped past the shop to check out what was going on.
The event has great potential to grow into something really cool in the Durban scene with new customers both attending the 1st and 2nd Monday Mob, and has the potential to change the tattoo scene in Durban completely.
If you are ever down in Durban then head on over to Lola Malone’s and get some ink, get a cut, grab an ice cold Monster Energy, chow a Panini or just chill with the Mob!
