I’m sorry, the Abrahamic deity (Judaism, Christian, Islamic, etc.) can’t stop angels let alone any human. We get this from the Bible on multiple occasions. If Lucifer was an angel (a high ranking one at that) and it took a bunch of other angels out of heaven to rebelled, it was because they couldn’t be stopped (deity is powerless), were allowed to rebel (freewill reigns over the deity’s will), or were told to do so (commanded by deity). As I recall, this wasn’t specified on which of those three (if there are other options, sounds like they could be lumped in with option 2). Then you have the nephilim who had children with humans, same scenario… Can’t stop them, allowed, or told to. If the stories are to be canon in the whole book, then these are facts to be taken into account.
Then you have current supposed situations where humans are directed, or are being messed with, or influenced via “demons” (who are angels, who rebelled) and the deity is in the same state. The Bible tells us who their deity is, jealous who has done rash actions as a result of throwing a tantrum because its people didn’t do as it said, made an example of them by killing by the scores, and says it loves you and made everything better by killing its own son. It’s like Stockholm Syndrome on a mass scale from a book that man has modified through the generations and continues to do so.
Jesus aka the angel of the Lord in the OT did. Our God was a lamb for our mercy but is a lion when He sets His face against those who reject/and oppose Him willfully. He is mercy. He is justice.

Sodom and Gomorrah. Pretty sure that was two angels who destroyed an entire civilization. But God, in fairness, gave Lot a chance to find even one righteous person and He would spare everyone. Lot failed. The angels did their job. The Old Testament is brutal but it’s a long list of cautionary tales and the New Testament is vindicative of it. Before I get roasted, yes, I still struggle wrapping my mind around it. As far as I can tell, God is a good guy in the end, but He’s not necessarily always a nice guy.

I myself went to Catholic school for 10yrs and I asked my priest if God forgives all sins then why did he create hell for sinners to burn for eternity. Priest got super mad and said never to say that again. So 1 single angel can cause a quarter million deaths. God Bless

Shawn, have you ever heard of Mauro Biglino? He was the vaticans head translator. He has a friend named Paul Wallis, also super impressive man of faith. I think they would be great for your show and I would be interested in your take on what they have to say. I stay away from organized religion and all that mess, but these two men are so genuine, heartfelt and incredibly educated in scripture, I cannot dismiss it. Not only that, but the evidence they provide allows so many things to fall into place, and suddenly make sense, it turns your stomach.
Key word is Old Testament, when Christ died on the cross for our sins he became the living god, and even the devil has to obey gods word. Demons can be cast out by Christ, so an angel or a priest can cast a demon out once they have addressed them as the vessel of christs will. So angels no longer need to kill the wicked, they can cast the evil out without harming the forgiven
But I think they save more lives than that each day.
