ptsd to think that’s funny. Ugh
PTSD is scared of this guy…
Exactly one of many reasons I never had any interest in the military
Ya it’s not funny to fuck people up for life, the system is fucked
“We almost drove a man to suicide !! It was hilarious !”
More of a navy thing. 😂😂😂😂😂 gd it
God damn I miss active duty
So true. My grandfather was one of the first Navy SeaBees in WW2. He had to go through some Marine training since they were landing and working together in the South Pacific. He told me how the Marine instructors would just walk down the line and kick guys in the “jewels” to check their toughness. He laughed about it at an old age. The great generation were some tough SOB’s. 🫡
Those werent marines. They were bullies with no shame.
Lmao I was at MCRD back in 11, shit hasn’t changed much. Seen a recruit jump from the 3rd balcony, saw another make a run for it to the airport, other would flat out refuse to swim during swim week. One dude got the silver bullet so many times we all thought he was doing it on purpose. Many more stores just from boot camp
Marine corps are good people. Thanks to Marine corps for all the times of I’m and people around me are being wide awake and conscious and not in agony while being doomed and enslaved by unbreakable chains and tortured till the end of life lived; I wish I could afford from wealth and money and place to go to have people around me who all supported eachother toward earning credentials for educational degrees and physical training, but all of those doors are shut to walk into with a government ID in hand and decent able body and willingness to study and work timely, they dont open untill have 10s of thousands of dollars saved and ready to spend, asking recruiters to join to be put in a safe environment to become made qualified to enlist isnt possible, the people shown thier future in rotc and police fraternity as military children dont recruit anyone else that wasnt raised like them to have what they have given to them no matter what
Back when the military made soldiers not parasites like we have now
3046 Lima M.C.R.D P.I getting off the Bus on the Footprints a recruit got Shoulder checked hard A F 😂😂😂 funny now Not Funny Then 😂😅
We had guy try to set himself of fire during first phase after dousing his clothes in that God awful cologne they made you buy. WInd drift or some shit. One of our DI’s tackled him from behind so hard the guy was knocked clean out by the impact. They were more pissed that he had managed to get a lighter than the actual attempt. They sweated everyone for the next week and nobody copped to it. No idea where he found it to this day. One guy got caught with a half smoked cigarette during mess week and they ended up pinning that shit on him and knocking him back a cycle. Boot Camp sucked but SOI was alot worse. At least in Boot you get to sleep
Old school marines were different😂
All I wanted was out of Boot it sucked everyday.
THIS IS MY RIFLE!!!
THERE’S MANY LIKE IT!!!
BUT THIS ONE IS MINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Full metal jackets real
Some of the best and funniest stories were in boot camp. 😂 fun times
lol…. And then these guys came home and became fathers….. My Dad was one of them!
Oh yeehaa that’s why yall don’t mess with the marines first ones in last ones out and longest boot camp
Thats cold blooded….. just how i like my marines.
“I didn’t come all the way down here to see nothing! JUMP!” Is ultra funny 🤣
People need to watch full metal jacket.
Parris Island was a mind fuck on its own
“Gen Z dont wanna sign up”
1000000 of homeless vets know why
I guess full metal jacket was tame😂
My grandpa was a Marine during the Korean war and a few of the guys at the nursing home he was at were marines from WW2 and Korea. I remember them all sitting around a TV in 2011 watching the Japanese earthquake live on the news and all cheering. Theyre a different breed lmao
“Do a flip”
Imagine wanting to die for Israel
My brother got drafted to the army late 60’s so my other brother enlisted in the marines. My army brother took himself out at 62 my other is still alive and doing well. I was 9 when they went to Vietnam I’m 65 now
Keep in mind these men were probably drafted and forced into a war which was fought FOR NO REASON. Vietnams still communist today
I heard a story of a Vietnamese soldier buried to his neck with his own genitals stuffed into his mouth. Both sides of that war were brutal to each other. 😢
love Bootcamp stories ill add one of mine, i was pulling div watch 2400 to 0400 when i recieved a call that required the LT attention the call didnt last long but what expired was we had a boot from my company try to go awol by jumping the fence and head towards the airport which buttoned up against our base, sadly for him along with club diego MCRD also ran along San Diego airport, he had a 50/50 chance of making it but missed. our div-o informed the lead nco at mcrd that it looks like recruit would like to become a marine he is all yours, they anded up mashing his butt all night and returned him to our company in the am to continue with his training which started with a 3 mile run a round the div this continued for the remainder of the day then he was processed out.
remember when it gets too tough, look around at the 64 other guys gettin through it with you…..attention to detail,
Please bring back the days where the non rates were driven out of the corps. The older generation knew that weak physical fitness and behavioral standards get people killed in combat, and they’d do what they had to do to get em out in basic. Now it’s just like everything else, turds get pushed through because god forbid anyone fail anything. Can’t do a pull-up? It’s fine, just slap a 3 on the form. He’s been in pork chop platoon for 6 months and we’re tired of dealing with him. Terrible attitude with frequent insubordination? Push him though, let him be someone else’s problem. The enlistment quotas to be met aren’t helping standards either. How does merit survive when the number of enlistments is set by other criteria? It doesn’t, and that’s another reason why our military is the softest it’s ever been.
Gen Z says you are toxic
OMG, do NOT go to bootcamp if you are not in shape! In ’82, I joined football in H.S. just to get ready. Got the crap beat out of me. Exercised and tried to get ready for bootcamp after H.S. graduation. Get to bootcamp and in a two weeks, I got transferred to the fatboy platoon. That was REAL HELL! Exercised twice as hard and mind-fkd constantly. I got out of the fatboy platoon after a week and was reassigned to a different platoon. Avoid the fatboy platoon at all cost! I don’t know what they do now, but I do know you better be able to do pullups, situps, and run 3 miles in 28 minutes. During COD, I saw a DI buttstroke a recruit in the face with a M-16. Blood everywhere and knocked out. Another recruit couldn’t take it and told the overnight duty DI he was “gay” and got bounced of the DI office walls and threw so had he hit a wall 20 feet away! This did happen! Semper Fi!🫡🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Gay boomers eat this up
Telling bro to jump off the water tower is fuckin craazy lmao
Imagine if he had jumped though. Granted this was Nam era so I don’t think there would be many consequences.
Had an Uncle who signed up for the Marines after Pearl Harbor. Tough as nails. Sent to the South Pacific. No PTSD. Said it was them or him. He made sure it was them.
