The problem with a draft. Some people are not able or have the will to fight. You would have people revolt, desert, switch sides, and a host of other problem. It would guarantee a new civil war. Let heroes be heroes. And let zeros be zeros. You couldn’t pay me $1,000,000 to fight under an incompetent government. Look at Afghanistan. 20 years of fighting and dieing, just to leave! Giving the billions of dollars of military equipment and pay them $40million a year. Totally worth dieing for. Fuckin joke.

Idk wtf your talking about people have been done with the wars. They have been done watching there sons husbands and friends be blown up for no gain to the citizens. It’s the political class and the corporate class and bankers that send you all off to war. We all get brainwashed and propagandized from birth to join the military and some people take the bait. If people want to go off and fight half a world away that’s fine and dandy. But people are already against the wars. Drafting people isn’t going to change the fact that some people volunteer. How many Americans don’t want to pay taxes. Yet they constantly have to.
Non-professional “warriors” drafted into a war are just disposable bodies for bloodthirsty politicians, generals and admirals, the military industrial complex, and the globalist elites. No, thank you!

Voluntarily conscription. You give 5 years of service you get x amount off your taxes for a lifetime or you get other benefits such as discounted housing schemes/ fully paid further education.
A volunteer after 5 years can choose to stay on in their conscripted role and make it a full time job.
They can be called upon after their 5 years at anytime that’s why lifetime benefits are a important.

They stopped drafting people cause there was no war big enough. Sorry Iraq and Afghanistan you just doint require a draft. It will be brought back when needed. The military went right back to how its always been after Vietnam.

I see people who are in the military as people who choose to sacrifice their lives for everyone’s freedom. And when I hear when a service member has died I feel bad for the family but I know that service person chose to be there and I don’t feel bad for them.

30 years ago I would have disagreed with a draft. After serving 8 years in the Navy, and seeing other countries that require some form of service after a certain age, combined with the way the majority of people in the U.S. under the age of 35 act and present themselves, then I think we need more than just a draft. We need mandatory service in some way. These people need to be led down the right road more than ever!

Every other comment here is saying they don’t want to fight another rich man’s war, but I’ll take it a step further. I don’t want to be drafted to fight a war that just boosts the power, ego, wealth, and greed of another godless politician.
I have a deep respect for Shawn and his faith, and think he’d agree that our war is not waged in another country with guns, our war is here and it’s spiritual… and so many of us are already losing.

Because the only people who are equipped to revolt, are the people who were desensitized enough to join on their own volition. If we all were equipped to revolt, we would. Draft or not, I aint fighting for bloodthirsty animals that start wars or allow escalation to war just for money. If a draft ever happens and I get chosen, I’ll happily take a prison vacation. An invasion or a truly justified war like ww2 is a different story though.
