No good person with a good heart wants to have to kill another human, but if my life is at risk, all I am doing is ending a bad person with an evil heart.
It took me many years to finally decide to get my own. It gives me some comfort knowing I can defend myself and family if I am forced to. No I don’t want to have to use it, but will if forced.
If you are concerned that someone means you or someone you love bodily harm and they are being aggressive. You can draw your weapon toward them off if they continue you shoot. If they reach in your vehicle, you can shoot them. If they try to open your vehicle in Texas you can shoot them. If they steal something from you, and there is no other means of retrieving the property at a later date like in the night, you can shoot them. But I personally would keep it to self-defense. Think what a jury of 12 would probably assume.
I am an instructor. Train all my students that the decision to fire is made before you reach. You’re not prepared to fire the shot do not even reach for your firearm.
Definitely not carrying everyday and not having one in the chamber. My advice to anyone new is to carry everyday, go to the range regularly. Practice drawing your weapon with a proper grip.
And he’s exactly right…..there are people who feel that they get a conceal carry, this is their justification to to and say anything……and if someone takes offense and confronts them well…they were just expressing their first amendment and had to use their second amendment to protect themselves…..and these type of people. Are no better than the thugs that carry and kill you read about daily…..they just found a loophole ….that’s it…..

Decision to pull a firearm is a serious decision but not the biggest for new carriers in my opinion. Decision to practice and practice tactically and various positions. 90% of the CCW holders I know don’t even go to a standard range and ain’t even familiar with their firearm. Making them a danger to themselves and those around them. BIG MISTAKE! jail, legal fees and now a felon… just my two cents, stay tactical, alert and alive. Peace out ✌️ 😅
Carrying a weapon without training and skills is a fool’s errand. If you won’t take the time to train and be psychologically ready, you will fail to properly defend yourself and the ones you want to defend.
There are cops that aren’t ready. We’ve all seen the videos. If you have not had a serious internal discussion with yourself about shooting a living breathing human being, you are not ready.
Yeah that is a super visceral moment. The thinking of if I expose this weapon all intent is to use it. Hopefully in the case of self defence. But with all of those weapons in the USA statistics state that the probability of someone that has bad intent it’s inevitable that they will have access to a firearm 😢don’t hate guns hate the people who use them in violence
The wrong teaching is when people say if you draw then you have to use it. There is judgement before you pull the trigger. Alot of situations de-escelate when a firearm is produced

I promise you tough twats one thing. I would rather fight you to the death if had the choice over just pulling out a gun and shooting you. At least I’m a man. Only time I would use or feel comfortable taking your life with a gun is if you had a weapon.
