I don’t understand how men can sit the way you’re sitting Sean. I wonder why he didnt talk about how the gang would follow people who passed them, surround them, force them off of the road, and then theyd take turns making out with the other driver. I’m from Milwaukee (Harley capital of the world) I ride a sports bike (profile picture) I have come up on numerous biker gangs including the outlaws, hells angels, and a couple of black only clubs on the highway, Not only have I passed them, usually the lead biker will wave as I go by. We ALL share ONE thing in common – the love of riding motorcycles.
My grandpa’s older brother my great uncle Nickie was good good friends with a Buffalo Chapter back in the 70s. My grandpa was in a band. And they showed up to their band practice and told them they needed them to come play at their club at the corner of Seneca st and Bailey ave in Buffalo NY back in the 70s I believe. They loaded them up, put their shit in the van. And drove em there from the old Babcock neighborhood lmao they were scared shitless but were the nicest guys. I remember seeing them at parties every now and then. They would always give me a high five and hand me a dollar for a pop or snack. Big ole grandpa’s. Scary. Tatted grandpa’s. But they always took care of us.

I had a club President ask if I wanted to join his organization. I asked if I would have to be subservient to him and others. He said yes. Especially, during the prospect phase. I told him I would never be someone’s bitch or bow to another man. He said he could respect that. We are still cool to this day. Actually, he did me a huge favor after that by just going to talk to some mechanics that had some bikes of mine locked in a secure compound and they wanted me to pay them a ridiculous amount to get them back. We went to their shop and he said give me a minute. Came back in a few and said how is X price? I was good with that. Loaded up my shit and left. I owe him. But, doubt I will ever have to pay. Good people.

Never dealt with the Angels, but did with an adjacent group. Stopped by a bar to ease my thirst one evening. Didn’t worry about the bikes outside. Bottom line, I got in a fight with a dude who tried to hit me with a beer bottle (ignoring the mirror in front of me while shooting pool). I beat the shit out of that guy and then looked around. The President of that club came over, handed me a beer, and told me I was welcome back anytime. They took the dude outside (a pledge), and told him to leave and not come back. About once a month I went and partied with those dudes, but then got sent to Germany (Army).
Don’t act a fool and you won’t have any problem with these guys.

Mel is absolutely right about the “death head” logo/patch meaning something special to the guys that were real members of the club. No different than Navy Seals taking it serious and personal when fake Navy Seals get Seal tattoos and make false claims. It’s the same for the HA and NSW guys…that take their heritage and affiliation very serious. And people faking affiliation to either of those groups were not well received if/when caught.

Not a member. Just an innocent bystander. Some gang tried to do the same thing with my car. Didn’t crash. Then goes attempt 2,3 … So forth. I know check my car like a crazy lunatic too. It’s like now you have a whole new perspective on people sadly. I compare myself to my siblings and can’t stand that they are naive and wanted to socialize with these gangs gaslighting me. They found out the hard way unfortunately.
I lived and worked in London in the late 1980’s and used to regularly frequent on saturday nights a great pub in Camden Town called The Carnarvon Castle where the local chapter of Hells Angels were employed as bouncers due to an earlier incident where a guy had his throat slashed with a broken bottle. After the Angels arrived on the scene there was no more trouble there. The president of the chapter had a pet tarantula that he kept in a cigarette box and at the end of a night when a group of women were taking too long to leave he would saunter over, cigarette in hand, and ask for a light. He would leave what the women thought was an empty box on their table, But within a short space of time they would be screaming their heads off and running for the door when they spotted the hairy legs and body of the tarantula emerge from it’s hiding place. The Hells Angels and I were the only people who were served their beer in glasses, everyone else got it served in crappy plastic containers.
I grew up in a neighborhood with an HA clubhouse. They were good neighbors, courteous and polite, with everyone in the neighborhood. But we were not under any illusions about who they were, or how they made money. My cousin was staying with us one time, and observed that they reminded him of the cult down the road from the family farm. Polite and courteous to everyone in the county. But in the end, they were still cultists
I’m not even a biker, unless you count riding a ten speed. I can listen to this guy tell stories all day
