Russian propaganda is working 🎉 Bravo!
Every single word here is a lie. I live in Ukraine, and what this guy is saying is just nonsense—it’s word for word what Russian propaganda says on TV.
This is just made up lol. He did not outlaw all political parties. He outlawed a few (Other countries are smarter than the US and dont just have 2 party sytem) that where aligned with Russia. For those who think hes some evil leftist socialist shill, one of the parties outlawed was the Socialist Party of Ukraine lol. Its the same thing with the news outlets. The ones that were banned where all Kremlin linked and they would spread Russian propaganda.
Getting rid of propaganda and traitors that cater to your biggest enemy who wants to take your country away from you should be applauded. Its so funny to see people not bother to look into this or choose to not believe it but will pound their chest screaming “America First” But when they see another country put their country first its a problem.

This doesnt pass the sniff test. This smells like bullshit. A few quick searches on the internet and you find out when and why the decisions were made to ban Russian and Kremlin linked media in ukraine, political parties with ties to Russia. Street protests are banned under martial law, which only was in effect when russia invaded ukraine. Russia is losing this war so fucking bad, their soldiers are being slaughtered by drones, they had no tanks or APC’s for their victory day parade because they have lost so many in ukraine. They are losing more men than they recruit for consecutive months this year, and the kills are literally being recorded. The russian economy is literally collapsing, people are finally calling for putin to be overthrown. Putin is a horrible person. He literally kills anyone who doesnt agree with him, like a little Joseph Stalin. Constantly threatening to nuke us and our allies. Literally gearing up for war with us for decades, openly talking about going to war with us, giving aid to our enemies well before we started aiding ukraine. We are rivals with russia. Their culture as communists doesnt mesh with ours in the west. Why are we suddenly acting like russia is an ally, more so than nato? Like, genuinely. Who cares if we are trying to flip an ex soviet nation to be an ally of the west? We have done worse shit for decades than potentially starting a protest to flip a country into an ally politically.

What an absolute bullshit. Sure, some political parties were banned, but there are bunch of active parties in Ukraine. This guy has no fucking idea about Eastern Europe politics or he has some agenda to push, cause everyone here knows how Russia works. There are problem with parties that are paid by Russia and that works in interest of Russia, that are directly related to FSB (KGB). And they do elections Russian way, buy, steal votes, hack etc. and when they get in power, they do what Ruussia wants. Look at what happens in Georgia as an example.
No right to protest? There were HUGE protests going on like last year, when there was attempts to weaken anti corruption institutions in Ukraine, not only they went for many days, they worked – people got what they wanted.

To be fair, Zelensky outlawed political parties AFTER Russia invaded. In that part of the world, where Russia has significant influence and can influence former soviet countries, I think that’s a pretty prudent move. I dont know if this clip is just out of context or if it is being misrepresented intentionally, but it kind of sounds like this interviewee is a Russia sympathizer.

What this person is saying is a really strange take on the situation. I’m Russian, and I study the politics of Russia, Belarus, and Ukraine pretty closely. I remember Zelensky’s election campaign very well. He was a very visible anti-war candidate from the start. His campaign worked so well because he was great with media and did an amazing job in the debates against the previous president, Petro Poroshenko. Yes you right on top of that, during the elections, he starred in the super popular Ukrainian TV show Servant of the People. But it was produced by HIS OWN channel and He played a president who fights corruption and stands up for ordinary people. This is exactly what helped him win, so he definitely didn’t just appear out of nowhere. Also, during his first years in office, Zelensky honestly tried to end the conflict and was even ready to make some concessions to Russia, though he couldn’t make it happen in the end. Yes, after the war began, the authorities really began to unite around him and his party, and this is something that really needs to be talked about, but in Ukraine, society still has influence as in the case with protests against pressure on the investigation NABU and SAPO.
If you really want to understand this conflict, I highly recommend watching the documentary ‘Ordinary Denazification’ on Alexander Shtefanov’s YouTube channel. He actually visited the Russian-controlled areas and talked to the people living there. He is very objective and shows both sides of the story. He has a lot of other great videos on this topic on his channel too.
