I endured 3 foster homes, I joined the Marines at 17 went in a few months after I turned 18. The Marines were easier.
Sadly its gotten better than what it was. Use to be able to foster 12 kids and was obviously for the check. Even had the family/their kids food and then there was foster care food. Hell my aunt got married at 16 to a 21yo to gtfo. Mom got so damaged that shes finally healed after seeing the damage shes done to her now grown kids because of her own traumas and now is trying to help heal us.

Hereās my hot take: foster care, adoption, CPS are all involved in human trafficking. CPS can literally take your kids away at their own discretion, they can be paid under the table to scout for specific types of child and open a case against the parents based on a fabricated lead, traffickers and pdfs can pose as adoptive/ foster parents; if they speak to the right people within the system they can get their slimy hands on an innocent baby like what happened to Preston Davey. Those disgusting monsters were fast tracked to adopt baby Preston. There have been so many cases over the years of children going āmissingā in the system or being placed in homes where they were intentionally SAād, tortured, etc. this isnāt an accident or a result of negligence, these people are being paid to provide monsters with innocent victims.

I can’t believe foster care still exists and dcyf hasn’t been dismantled and everyone replaced.
They can give children away without any issue.
The people who have adopted children have gatherings where they exchange children like animals it is not illegal.
Itās so hard to get hired at child protective service around here. It doesnāt make sense. They donāt have enough people and yet their employees look strung out honestly.

I was shocked by the lack of attention and awareness given to the children by the system once they were placed with me and even more shocked by the lack of punishment for abusers.

I remember when my sister was a CPS working 19 years in the hood by herself going to homes to drug test and people at the government office talking about how because of the merge there was too many managers and they had nothing to do. So many loving homes rejected. So many disgusting homes approved. And like 10% rejected for good reason. That foster mum Laura points it out, too many bio kids already, the kids said they didnāt want more kids in the house, a granny flat out the back and the tenants didnāt want a police check. Itās a tough situation. Kids need homes. But you definitely donāt want to send them somewhere worse than the shelter
