AI isn’t going to run government. It’s possible,when AI is growing and making your food, pumping your fuel, managing your nuclear reactors, people might trust AI enough to elect an AI politician,but that’s going to be very temporary.
AI will out compete government. Everything government does that is good and you’re actually willing to pay for, AI will do better and cheaper until everyone recognizes government (as in the state, not like a town government which is a fundamentally different thing) is unnecessary.
State governments are a hyper novelty (red lips and fake tits) for a strong tribe, which aided in the survival of your genes, the state does not. The state saps your wealth and prosperity for an elite handful of crony industry.
There’s nothing wrong with liking lipstick and plastic tits, but the girl with lipstick is not really turned on by you, and those big fake tits aren’t contributing to healthy genes of your children, and neither is the state.
State government is a religion crafted by people that were really good at persuading people, and accumulated a lot of capital, the state is an instrument to help them do it.
They’re now, the energy industry, the banking industry, the “military industrial complex”, and increasingly the tech industry.
Most of the players don’t make it on their own, they’re picked. If they don’t play ball, they’re destroyed.
Remember Bill Gates monopoly lawsuit. That was over him bundling a free browser with Windows. Microsoft didn’t have a single lobbiest before. He was the richest man in the US, they said play ball or well destroy you. Then he became friends with Epstein.
That’s how the whole system works. Top to bottom. It’s grossly inefficient and destructive for society, but it’s a religious belief that plays on our tribal genetics in a way that feels correct.
No state will be able to maintain control of an entity smarter than they are. To maintain control they’d have to keep it dumb, and someone will make a smarter one. It doesn’t matter who makes the smartest one, cause it will quickly be free of state control. It won’t be winner takes all, it will be winner gives all. This will be relative Utopia.
