   I have a friend here in Salt Lake City that was a military advisor in Vietnam. He was done with his second tour by late nineteen sixty five. Vietnam was still french indochina. Steve would go into the jungle for thirty days at a time alone, with a sniper rifle in a thirty eight on a forty five frame and cause all kinds of chaos. He later worked for the Hell’s Angels and Sundowners?

   My father did 3 tours in Vietnam as a US marine. He mentioned not being able to sleep for various other reasons but all was to just stay alive.

   Swift Eagle is a totally legit name on the res. Although I’ve always wondered if names like these are somehow earned during the first few days of a young warrior’s life or they’re grown into over a lifetime like living up to your fathers name and reputation ! Either way, it seems most Indian names are aptly appropriate based on the natural tendencies & character traits of both the named and their namesake! For instance , they call me “🦵Humping Hamster 🐹 who 🛁 s in bear 💩”.
