At one time years ago I was prescribed 800mg 3 times a day but I never felt a difference. So I was fortunate to not have that withdrawal because it didn’t do anything
What am I missing with Gabapenton? I have it for nerve pain. Sometimes I take it, sometimes I don’t. I can’t tell that it actually does anything. He’s not the first person I’ve heard say that it’s hard to stop. As useless as Tylenol is, at least it works sometimes.
The gabapentin manufacturer has strict warnings to NOT mix gaba with any opioid medication because mixing them can and has caused respiratory failure. I brought this up to my pain management doctor and she said “the benefits out weigh the risks” so i said “ok then you risk it with your own life, not mine” and she stopped the gaba…only with me and continues to prescribe them both to the rest of her patients. They are trying to kill us for $

They put my dad on so much gabapentin and other meds. Im convinced it caused his cancer in 2014.
Also, he wasn’t in the military. He broke his back working in a factory at 32 years old. He was crippled afterwards.

It doesn’t matter who you are but big pharma is not your friend unless you absolutely need real medical help. Other than that they are drug dealers that need you coming back and to make you a vegetable.

Yeah man.. I hit a wall while drinking heavy and ended up on the 6th floor which is the phyc ward. I mean I wasn’t complaining about what they did and helped with the sleep but it was a shot glass every so long full of pills round the clock. The problem I had was they stripped me down like I was entering a prison in front of all the staff with the door open. Didn’t give me any shoes either, hell I had to ask them for socks to wear on those hard ass cold floors! I went there voluntary but after 3 days of their crap I had enough and left. I haven’t been back since either and that sucks because of the resources and the help they offer but… I don’t need that kind of help
Gabapenton does not do what they say and its horribly addictive!! This is coming from a recovering addict 14 years sober.

Walked in to mental health appointment within 5 minutes, therapist wanted me on meds. And gave some speech about how every one is the same, Deal with the same issues.
I was just a file number or a prescription tally mark

2500 grams of Gabapentin one of the worst drugs out there ,as it literally eats away at your teeth,then to not only recover from your injuries,you then have to suffer terribly the withdrawal of the drugs you were given.

Gabapentin flies way lower under the “addictive substance” radar than it should. It was practically handed out to us like candy for years. 4 800mg horse pills of Neurontin a day. Felt like the best version of myself. Hindsight is 20/20

I’ve had to go without it for a few days up to a whole week after having that amount (3 800mg) for a year.

Had a buddy.. got blown up in Afghanistan so they put him on an UNGODLY amount of pain meds.. dilaudid, oxys..gabapentin..lyrica.. of course he quit taking them as intended eventually. They completely stopped giving him anything so he went looking for something to fill the void…heroin.. you wouldnt believe how many soldiers are in that same position as him. Ive seen them strung out.. super fn sad

I am on 3600mg a day of Gabapentin for Ankylosing Spondylitis. I wish I didnt have to take it, it is chemically castrating my cognitive abilities, but if I dont take it I cry 24 hours a day from the pain. I am worried I wont even be here mentally within 5 years or in full blown dementia……..Our country is sososos sick with capitalism…*It ruins everything*
