If you can get any former engineers from any of the major three car companies on your show, I think everyone will be massively surprised that this isn’t anything new. Most vehicles have had modules called tracking modules in them since approx 2009 ish. Many new vehicles have had cameras in the clusters since 2017. GMs OnStar has been listening into conversations since the beginning and was always able to take control of vehicles since they put that “safety feature” in the vehicles. You use to be able to find videos of thieves in cars being controlled by OnStar.
