I attempted suicide in January of 2005. The last words that left my mouth before I did what I thought I had to do were “GOD please help me” …and I didn’t even like GOD in that moment. I came to the next day…and there is no way, with everything I injested the night before, that I should’ve lived through it…but I know that GOD saved me through DIVINE INTERVENTION. Later that same day, I called the AA hotline and went to my first meeting that night. Working the 12 steps brought me closer to GOD and brought me peace with GOD. I started getting curious about this JESUS fellow some years ago and I started praying about it. In his own time and unique way, GOD introduced us in a manner that I cannot deny. I am now safe, sane, sober and SAVED.

We have all seen a man with that familiar look because most of us have been there…. Maybe just acknowledging Somebody that feels unseen, tipping 25% instead of the reg 20% for someone that feels unappreciated, or complimenting a stranger that looks down & defeated…. we don’t know what people are going through but we damn sure act like we have seen everything and know everything while forgetting we are all still human….

He’s 100% legit when I went through it it was exactly like that. I made my peace bought my favorite bottle of wine, I didn’t want to die I wanted the pain to stop, I came out of my room one last time hugged my sister goodbye and went back to my room. Her boyfriend stopped me called me outside for a smoke then trapped me out there till i confessed what I was about to do. I felt this insane pressure lift off my chest. I was still really depressed but the pain was gone. I got a job in sales forced myself to talk to people and turned my life around. All of his key points of the story to me sound exactly like my story.

Man that story he told just broke me. I have been struggling with depression and anxiety lately, feeling trapped like I have nobody to confide in but I do, just don’t know how nor do I want to dump my negativity on them but Jesus is always there to listen if you open your heart to him. Thanks young man, your willingness to tell your story just saved this mans life. ❤

People don’t understand what surrender is, and I think maybe that is the issue with a lot of people on the fence or people who believe God doesn’t exist. Or they think people who feel the holy Spirit have just hypnotized themself somehow or it’s their own love they are feeling. When your whole body fills with warmth and love and you weep like that with not a lot of cognitive thought,… it’s not you manipulating yourself, it’s you feeling Pure Love. It is magic (holy). It is not an earthly experience.
God works in mysterious ways
I’ve done the whole praying thing and said the exact same thing. “God if you’re real take away this pain, depression, anxiety, etc… Let’s just say I still talk myself off a ledge on a daily basis 😂 …. But in all seriousness good for this guy if that worked for him.
