the whole mars project is kinda mehh, its a dead core planet. the moon sure, its close and can be the staging point to further and this is where mars comes into play, perhaps just spam send old solar panels vs getting ressources and power shipped back (later stage). but is only usefull becouse its the closest, but the core is dead.
