All these warriors and their stories😮over twenty years spec. Ops lost less than 100. On the ground.
What are you talking about when you said the decompression time I thought you meant like scuba diving or saturation diving and you’re a warrior decompression time bro like come on now damn what you need a therapy session after every single Mission or what
My dad was a Korean vet. He said they spend months turning you into a killer, and when you come back after killing for a year, they turn you loose, then wonder why some of them have real problems with it.
“Regular” units have decompression. They reduce operations and transition to the replacement unit taking over. There is usually a stop at an ISB for a few days on top of that as well.
This is so stupid. No decompression stops then?
Get Devon Larratt on
I’m blown away that this happens. Geez, no wonder there are so many divorces among our servicemen and women. We have to take care of these warriors better than that.
Stupid
Why are people so proud of being government pawns? I mean.. should people have sympathy for you because you made a bad decision in your teens?
I left a SOTF, got to Bagram, and because we were a small team, we got slid into the next flight out. I was back at Bragg in just over 17-hours. I went to the Spring Lake Walmart in OCPs, grabbed some frozen dinners and went to my condo a couple of miles of post.
How many times this clown going to say “gun”? Does he walk on the grass on base too?
I would compare the military government and PTSD before the mid 2000’s to the NFL and CTE. Just act like it isn’t a real thing, and everything will be ok. 😮
Need to decompress from killing civilians
The hardest part was never being able to go warrior mode again. Spoken like a true psychopath. Yes we all yern to put our children down and pick up a weapon and go kill some people. Knowing this guy he’ll probably shoot someone who cuts him off in traffic in a couple months so he’ll be ok.
Camp liberty😂🎉 or taji .
I was in Afghanistan in 2003. We spent a week at Manas to decompress. It was definitely needed
I live in Va beach I can’t tell if this dude in line next to me is special forces and just killed some dudes last night or was just some guy hungover from the bars at the beach front. The dude who shot bin Laden had the same story except it was a McDonald’s in Va beach
When going back to warrior mode isn’t an option anymore. Well thats the fight!!!
He doesn’t know there was no decompression stop in Vietnam either. People threw their uniforms in trashcans so civilians didn’t jeer at them, and 48 hours later were back in America with nothing but a deep suntan to give them away.
He went to war and has to worry about where to take his kid to eat shows you what you fighting for
😢❤❤❤❤❤
I hate when you can’t wash your Kameez
Brought some ghost back to his baby..
Panera employees had no idea that mf just got back from a whole gunfight
Fifty-five years ago, I was in the middle of seemingly endless firefights in the jungles of Vietnam. Three days later, I was sitting in the living room of my parent’s home, trying to pretend I was the same son they had raised. Fifty-five years later, I still wrestle with those memories. Thank you for your sacrifice. We all went away as children, and that child was sacrificed on the field of battle, never to be seen again.
Aho old warrior
If Keith Urban was in combat…
Reason why WW2 vets didn’t have PTSD they got time to decompress and vent on the ships coming back from Japan and Germany
Another podcast, another book probably. Yawn. 😴
My uncle was home in 18 hrs from NAM. He was a force recon marine
Same when coming home from Vietnam.
Inner city cops enter the chat
I was never home 36hrs after a fire fight. Enlisted at 17 in 2000, my unit 2/14 from 10th mountain and known for being the most deployed. They never helped us adjust once back. My last deployment I went straight to prison for a violent crime. In fact half the people I deployed with has been to prison. One of my best friends just got out did 15 years in prison and my team leader best friend just got sentenced on the 10th for attempted M. He took a plea to drop the federal RICO and several others on the 10th. Prob why the divorce rate is near 100%.
No more murders. It sucks. Itchy trigger finger, nothing to scratch.
This is absolutely one of the reasons soldiers of today suffer far worse PTSD. WW2 vets had a month on a ship to decompress and talk/work through all the horror they saw.
Thank you to all that go through war! Much love and respect
Went from fighting for my kid to holding my kid real quick
I haven’t been in warrior mode for years n I want it so bad I just can’t handle it
Cool sorry bro!
Ram-schteen 😂
The marvel of modern transportation and the demands of inhumane command for human robots.
Hmmm….odd that he says gun instead of rifle.
In Israel I can get from the battlefield to my house in 45 minutes…
Decompression is stopping for gas on the way lol
Imagine the mental toughness it takes to keep the warrior quiet in normal life.
Ayyy VA BEACH mention
I don’t know what’s worse, not getting a break to think about it. We’re never getting to do it again.
Their solution was to send a couple of guys to us to talk about how that is a crazy psychological experience. Not to fix it, but to tell us what was happening. And to tell us to hug our wives first instead of the kids.
The machine doesn’t stop.
Cops do it in 8 hours
That has to be such a hard switch, the warrior is just under the surface wait for the next mission.
