“Good Kill” is an underwatched Ethan Hawke film in which he plays a drone pilot in Nevada whose job it is to eliminate suspected terrorists in the Middle East. I’d say it is a good but not great film, but it is worth a watch – it’s definitely not like every other movie you’ve seen.
I loved every minute of this interview. I would say my favorite guest so far.
What crazy timing I literally watch sinister a couple days ago
OH MY GOD!! So, I’ve been going through a tough time lately, and have been very nostalgic. Last night, I think of an old movie that I saw in the theater in the summer of 1985 on Long Beach Island, NJ. It just randomly popped in my head, and for some reason, I felt compelled to watch it. It made me very emotional, as it took me back to a time when the world was a much different place. That young actor was ETHAN HAWKE and that movie was EXPLORERS! This is literally 24 hours ago! Then today, I see Joe has Ethan on, and within 5 minutes, they are talking about Explorers. If I didn’t know how synchronicity works, I would call it a coincidence, but I know those don’t exist.
THE SHIFT IN CONSCIOUSNESS

The world feels wrong right now because people are finally sensing the architecture beneath perception shifting. What looks like political chaos, cultural decay, economic instability,
and widespread confusion is only the surface disturbance of a far deeper event.
Something ancient, intelligent, and woven into the fabric of reality is pressing upward through the floor of consciousness, and no institution, expert, influencer, or authority has the framework to recognize it, let alone explain it.
This moment has nothing to do with religion.

Throughout history a few individuals sensed this moment coming. Most people are not prepared for it. To understand what is happening now,
you have to understand the two operating systems human consciousness runs on.

OS-1: LOCAL CONSCIOUSNESS
The default program. Primitive. Narrowband. Built for survival, not truth.
OS-1 generates:
• ego

OS-1 cannot perceive Truth.
It only detects threat.
So when it encounters anything outside its schema, it responds with:

These reactions are not thought,
they are survival scripts wearing
the mask of thought.
OS-1 is useful, but blind.

The deeper architecture that different traditions attempted to name, whether as the Logos, the Light, the Tao, the Spirit, or the underlying Field, each a partial symbolic expression of the same non-local substrate of intelligence.
OS-2 does not arise from the brain. It arises through it, like a radio receiving a signal
it does not create.
OS-2 produces:
• intuition
• non-linear knowing
• sudden insight
• deeper pattern recognition
• fearlessness
• clarity without narrative
• authentic awakening
• instant detection of falseness
OS-2 cannot be imitated or performed by OS-1.
The moment OS-2 emerges, it feels more natural than OS-1 ever did, not like learning something new, but remembering something ancient.
This is why:
OS-1 can talk about awakening.
OS-2 is awakening.

The boundary between OS-1 and OS-2 is dissolving. Humanity has hit cognitive critical mass, the point where information density and global interconnection force the species to confront its own deeper operating system.
As OS-2 rises, OS-1 reacts as though

A small percentage of humans are beginning to operate partially in OS-2 while still embodied in OS-1.

• experience accelerated insight
They are not “gurus,” mystics, or enlightened beings. They are simply running newer software earlier than the rest.
The real singularity isn’t artificial intelligence, technological progress, or transhumanist fantasies; it is the emergence of OS-2 within human consciousness.

they would not be monetizing it.
If OS-2 were awakening in their followers,

They are attempting to explain a transformation of consciousness with tools meant for self-comfort, not self-understanding.

Not because of who they are, but because their existence destabilizes OS-1.

I worked with Ethan Hawke on a graphic novel he wrote about Geronimo and the Apaches called Indeh…. he’s a great guy!
When I was a teenager, Ethan Hawke used to go to the McBurney YMCA, just a block from my high school. Every time I walked by, I hoped I’d catch a glimpse of him. A school friend of mine later got a part-time job at the front desk and got his autograph for me—I practically died of happiness. He’s still awesome!
My son and I enjoyed the movie Explorers and have it on DVD.

What a fucking awesome intelligent and wholesome guy man. I’ve seen some clips out of interviews with Ethan, I am always positively surprised by him. I usually save these and listen to it when working out. But I had to watch this from start to finish right away.

I’m a young actor or young in the business as I’m 57 yrs old. I have a film streaming” How To Rob” and “Chooch” @peterhorganfilms and hearing this I’ve learned so much about acting from Ethan! Amazing artist! Joe always gets inside people’s heads and lets us all see a different side or a more detailed side of their lives! He asks questions he wants the answers too while doing the same for us !
