One of my “Brothers” recently got back from Syria and that was/is one of his main concerns. It wasn’t the random rpg attacks or mortars. Drones were a major concern.
And that can be experienced in our own back yard.

I watched a TED talk 4 years ago probably. Gentlemen on stage of 2 to 3-in drone flew up to his face and stopped and hovered. He reached out and grabbed it he said the future warfare is these things loaded with binary explosive. A little piece the size of a match head that will just completely destroy a watermelon. He said the problem is they have facial recognition they will hunt you out. Fly into the side of your head explode and that’s it game over… They hunt your purse and they’re completely autonomous. You went on to say so they dropped a half a million out of a mother ship . Terminator
Y’all seen the fiberoptic drones the Russians are supposedly using? The fly pulling FO cable off a real so they can’t jam the signal. thousands of yards of cable. I have not seen one. I mean the OBX of NC a fair piece from the Ukraine but a lot of chatter about em.
You never see or hear the predator but those up close drones are terrifying.

90% of drones are being used to spot for artillery. Ukraine is the only one wasting them to kill one soldier. Russia is using them for recon and fire missions.

Drones work in Ukraine because of the environment. Here in the USA our triple canopy forests would protect us from such attacks. Plus we are probably the best in the world when it comes to shot guns and our anti drone tech. So bring it

12 or 20 gauge birdshot will solve all your problems trying to hit a 4inch dot. That better be the secondary in today’s warfare bc that’s probably the one thing that could “potentially” save your life against a drone. And it’s very inexpensive to find a good shotgun for a decent price. 🤙🏼

Yeah man i was never in the military or anything and i remember the first combat footage i saw from ukraine with fpv drones and i was like holy shit bro theres almost no hiding from them dam things its scary to think about where warfare is headed

If you can hit a duck 🦆 in the sky, you can hit a drone..!!! There’s a reason you don’t use a pistol or a rifle to hunt birds. It’s too small of a target. If every guy had a shotgun with bird shot you’d effectively never lose anyone…!!!

Troops have to be equipped with jamming devices.
Maybe some kind of EMP weapon could take them down.
Bird shot
Dove hunters do a good job with #7 birdshot. Pretty sure a dove is harder to hit than a drone. Of course dove hunters aren’t in the middle of combat while hunting either. But sounds like a dedicated drone hunter equipped with a shotty has to be in every squad now.
