idk.. i been flicking dropped mags to the side as long as i can remember.
not even sure where i got it from..
i just dont want to find myself doing a sliding split across a floor in the middle of a already 💩’ey situation cuz i dropped it near my feet and stepped on it when i started to move.
different pistols..different calibers..plastic mags..metal mags..single stacks..double stacks..
i cant say its ever been a problem.. mayb extremely rarely?
but i never have a very dirty pistol either..
whenever im done with a range day, i break em down and clean em proper..put em back together, fire a couple rounds for function check.. one last bore snake pass with oil on the tail, and brush out the breech..
then i feel comfortable to load and carry.
if i ever find myself in a life or death situation, i want to go into it with a clean piece.
as for potentially dealing with a stuck mag? thats a malfunction. they happen, but carrying a reliable firearm and reliable magazines loaded with reliable ammo help to minimize that.
train to diagnose and mitigate malfunctions.
Why is ur firearm so dirty it won’t drop a full mag??

The gumming up is why he started doing it. He started doing it all on his own while training for the movies. Which is why it’s interesting.
He’s also not just simply pivoting his wrist slowly, either. Gotta get that rotational leverage working.
Muscle memory may be beneficial using the ‘old method’. This is much better watching quality than listening to a ‘ex-whatever’ messing around with guns and instructors on a fire line on a gun ranche.
But when you’re THAT GOOD, it IS CONSISTENT. Every time. Just like in the movies, that don’t utilize 1-20 takes to “get the shot”.
It also gets the empty mags away from your feet so you don’t bust your ass walking on top of them.

Same thing on my glock polymer magazine. It will not come off easily. Only works on steel with a little lose mags

All of his mags have taran tactical mag well extenders after John Wick 2 on. They already fall out. Does he do it if hes got an opponents gun?
A full magazine has more inertia so its less likely to work actually.
100% wrong. My competition guns are set up so the mag is drop immediately. Coming up and stripping the mag out as slow as s*** nobody does that competitions
Just because you cant do it doesnt mean its not practical.

Oh Shawn…i can mag-flip like a mo-fo. All my pistols eject freely with the exception of my FNX-tactical 45 and that’s only a temporary condition caused by stippling. I’m a lefty and it certainly seems to be an advantage for a lefty.
