No. You don’t ‘split an atom’ for quantum entanglement. Two entirely separate atoms. You hit one with a tiny blip of high freq energy, and SOMETIMES, its quantum spin will match another atom. At that point they’re entangled. Anything you do to one will be echoed in the other, but as soon as you do literally ANYTHING to it, the entanglement collapses.

The example of splitting an atom in half is a classical physics view. The atom on the sun and the atom on Pluto are the exact same atom in two different places at the same time. It’s not an atom split in half. It’s not connected across that space like a string. it’s the exact same atom in two completely different places at the same time.
