I’d rather sit on my phone then help a drug addict homeless…
I can go out tomorrow and make 2000 USD a day – the reason I dont is because the government will punish me if I do this. Im not talking about committing crimes – the truth is the game is rigged from the start – so why would I work at something they have already decided I cannot profit at?
thing is, id love to work more jobs and do multiple things if that meant id earn a lot of money. I have multiple jobs that ive worked which I enjoyed and have been passionate towards, except I didnt earn nearly enough per week to continue doing them so I had to change jobs.
If they didnt tax like 70% of my wages if I were to have a second job, then id gladly spend my time outside working flat out, learning a lot more skills, becoming significantly more handy and start building up my skillset to a point where I could make a difference either within my own life or others, but instead your forced to work within only one job that almost always sucks, your treated like a dog most of the time, you cant get sick or injured because then if you need time off, they will just fire you, you cant struggle to learn something for a while or be a slower learner because they will just fire you no matter what effort you put it, its super difficult in some job markets to even get a job and especially one thats actually worth doing where you can earn some real wages that are liveable, and you also have to spend a decent amount of money and time on courses to get qualifications and spend a few years doing this just so your eligible to get looked at and rejected from those big paying jobs you want.

They’ve been created that way as ideal consumer and ideal voter so both left and corporationists (confused as the right) are happy and want it as status quo. All that is a result of tribalism that we downgraded to after rejecting Jesus.

I work my ass of but 15 an hr in 2026 feels like im going nowhere.
I wake up everyday for work at 5am but its hard for me to have the same drive ive had before knowing what the government actually does and how the world works. The more you know the less happy you are as a human. Lets have that discussion.
A job isn’t much of an opportunity if it doesn’t pay enough to survive. A lot of jobs are still paying under $20 an hour while the cost of housing, groceries, and everything else has skyrocketed since Covid
The pay isn’t livable pay
The reason why there’s so many people unemployed because there’s so many people that are tired of being enslaved and controlled by our government that is corrupt and evil
I’m not sure that these vacant jobs exist, but I do know one thing; walk into a grocery store at 10 o’clock in the morning during the week, and there are plenty of working age men and women walking around in their pajamas, doom scrolling on their phone, raiding the potato chip aisle and paying with benefit cards.
Work ethics has fallen apart that’s why I have quitting so many jobs because the people that do the less work to get more and yeah they are there every day but they’re not doing s***when you’re having to do your job and there’s two you’re going to need a sick day every now and then and then you got them points systems which is b******* even if you have a doctor’s note I’ve been pointed out

My town has thousands of guys with their families here from South America doing AAAALLLL the work. Yard work, house work, chores, repairs, building, etc etc. Why are we still hearing there isn’t any work. Nonsense. Kids graduating college want to start making 6 figures out the gate. I hear it all the time. They wanna skip the line and start where most are already 10 years in, with zero experience. Entitlements don’t help either.
Bring back the 1950s job market, then will talk, Mike. I like Mike Rowe, but his take is perhaps laziness in people. We the people are tired of being talked down to, underpaid, not appreciated hardly at all. Wages in most jobs are virtually stagnet. Besides Trades and possible degrees. With unstable job markets in industry, and other jobs. Even 30 an hour isn’t enough for a single income home with 2 or 3 children. The government is shxt. Policy, and a bought and paid for government has destroyed what America used to be. Most people have to work regardless of only making 3/4 of their bills each month. Good luck with food assistance. Love ya mike, but your only looking at half the picture, my friend.
To be fair, I honestly think there should be some people wrapped up in their phones all day purely because they would be getting themselves or others into trouble. There are people we may actually want to remain pacified.
As someone who is a career development specialist and work with the people in these situations. I hear every day i want to work and better my job. Now I come from up north and way more bootstrap than PA. If you did decent in high school in Florida you can have your associates and a great career right out of college or have half your bachelor’s degree finished. Then i realized taking my high level educational standards and applying it down in Florida. My high school is like 5 years of Florida basic schooling and way more education. If i moved here younger i could have college paid for from being in foster care. One critical thing Florida does right. But there is so must propaganda against education ive worked with people who have no education completed at all and complain about how they can’t make money. Now I’m a master level health education specialist and directly addresses these disparities. Ive worked with 100+ people from all types of backgrounds every factor from no food shelter transportation and lack of education. Im from the north where education is everything and taking extremely serious for the reasons i see. Just putting money into every school no matter the socioeconomic status.
Although from the behavioral perspective it can be laziness, environmental, mental, physical and less access to education, a lack of jobs in addition to the very low pay. Also you have to understand the LMI(labor market information) and the types of jobs around you. For me in North Florida its all healthcare manufacturing, production or trades. Now not bad fields at all but in the 5 counties i work in its 12 of us vs helping roughly 10K people that are on social support to get them help, schooling and self sufficiency is the main goal of my job. After teaching some individuals it took me 3-4 hours to change their lives or show them their are so many ways to get education/trade programs paid for in Florida and i have 6 degrees and did well i got no extra help up north is standard. Here in Florida i don’t need anymore education and can treat patients as well.
But why is someone like me making $10 dollars less than i should be? I live in the poorest parts of Florida and your pay is based on where you live first and your financial literacy and income to debt ratio. But in the end of the day it’s what you want out of your life! I went from foster care to a master level specialist i never knew i would achieve this but i never ever gave up and will not devalue anyone i will work with its time i use my expertise and personal experiences to help anyone in need. 🎉
People look up WIOA workforce programs and CareerSource centers in your state. It’s our job to get you a better life or the resources you need to become self sufficient. Message me if i was taught more about federal workforce laws we already have the resources for people to get out of homelessness etc. But it all comes down to allocation of money. The new laws takes away billions from people in every state to increase their quality of life. Good luck and make informed decisions.

These openings are purely to gaslight the overworked staff so that management can say “We’re doing our best but nobody wants to work” I’ve watched resumes go straight into the trash more than once without even being looked at just for the job to be taken down, reposted and never replied to.

It’s because of drugs and mental illness I do volunteer for the Soup Kitchen and I’ve gotten to know several homeless people. It’s all the same thing Drugs alcohol and mental illness very rarely do you find someone that’s just down on their luck and just a helping hand back up. Most homeless people are content with being homeless. While talking to these people they ask me for money and cigs but never a job I offered 3 different people jobs would pick them up and take them back everyday. All of them said the same thing “thank you so much!” But they never showed up, ever so I stopped trying to help get them jobs they don’t want jobs. One man told me he makes $400 a day begging and showed me the cash to prove it. But instead of being responsible and getting a home they spend it all on drugs and eat for free at the soup kitchen taking for from hungry people with jobs and homes that just need a little help
If I’m not being paid enough it’s easier to hustle

Well I’m full time with the county making 21 hr and I still need food stamps this shit is bullshit!! I’ve worked full time since I joined the work force and it’s impossible every company subsidize their pay with gov benefits.

Nobody ever talks about the massive drop In marriage rates. Women turned their backs on men and marriage and as a result, men don’t see a need to work. Men work for their families. They don’t have a family anymore
The jobs are mostly fake or fishing for unicorns. I have found that I get taken to interviews when I leave a couple year gaps in my resume and just tell em I signed nda’s and cant open my mouth. Usually gets me in just for the curiosity

Impossible requirements, false job postings for government compensation, poor to abysmal employer/employee behavior, poor pay, jobs that want you to break the law for their benefit, and when you do a “good job” your reward is more work.
