Odd behavior by the upper echelon. Friendly fire is an unfortunate part of war. It happens. The coverup makes no sense.
It honors no one to cover up friendly fire incidents like this. This kind of thing happens in war, unfortunately, but the coverup was a disgrace to Tillman’s memory and to everyone he served with.

It doesn’t make any sense that someone could get a platoon of rangers to voluntarily kill one of their own, especially not someone as revered as Tillman. It TOTALLY makes sense that this was a massive black eye for the military and Bush admin and they all did their best to get this passed off as another KIA.
I told Bob Costus this was friendly fire 🔥🔥🔥🔥 up in Bagram he asked why would I say that, I ran QRF after everything down, it was Kevin Tillman’s gun truck with the 50 Cal.. Which killed Pat!! JSOC & Lt on the ground told all the Rangers not to speak on this!!

Patrick Tillman Arizona State University grad along with multi-year team mate & quarterback Jake Plummer joined Phoenix Cardinals now Arizona Cardinals together with great fanfare both, with a very bright future in the NFL. I was in Tempe AZ at the same time, drank beer along with them, Pat was notorious for riding his bike around campus daily wearing flip flops. I can tell you that is a strong tradition by tru blue Arizona boys. Flip flops all year. It was a choice that shocked media but, didn’t surprise me, headstrong is another tradition of Arizona born. I knew it was a big fat lie and a terrible shame the way this was handled by our Military leaders. The commanders should have had no problem sending the guilty to levenworth prison for life. Given Tillman a purple heart posthumously. Just seeing these clips of Pat saying these words again bring tears to my eye. He was a hero and will always be.

It was reported back then, (including by Alex Jones), that Pat Tillman was purposely shot by friendly fire because Pat felt the whole war was a crock of shit and system was worried when he got back to the states he would speak out against the war and they couldnt let that happen….
