China wants to destroy our ability to produce food. They’ve tried sneaking invasive species into our ecosystems, they buy our farmland, and they’re trying to buy and own all the crop input companies like seed companies and fertilizer companies. The United States needs the ag industry to remove itself from anything involved with China completely. We should never be reliant another superpower to be successful.

We lost our farm in 80, during the whole Farm-Aid movement… lost some family to heart attacks and suicide because of it. Most days I resent waking up, the price was too high for our family… feeding a country that has well and truly lost its way. Often wonder if soldiers feel this…

I live in Iowa and farm. Ask me anything
You know, back in the day, we HAD to vote for someone to represent us, because we couldn’t realistically ask people to submit a vote in every single little decision that needed to be made, so we’d vote on someone we thought best represented us and the choices we would make, these people are our elected officials, from your local representatives all the way to Presidents.
The thing is, we ARE capable now, with modern technology, to make these decisions OURSELVES, wherein we can vote on matters OURSELVES and have our votes tallied and counted immediately ONLINE.
People haven’t stopped to realize we don’t actually need government officials anymore, at least not in so far as is necessitated to pass laws and policies, we can do that ourselves by voting online on what WE want. We can also determine FOR OURSELVES where WE want our taxes to go, when we do our taxes… 10% to defense, 10% to universally healthcare, 10% to education etc etc… rather than allowing corrupt government officials to spend OUR money on their special interest investments, on providing healthcare for foreign countries while Americans don’t have healthcare, on funding foreign wars.
The government needs an entire redo, WE need to be the government, WE vote on laws and policies WE want to see & majority vote wins.

As a farmer’s daughter and a farmer myself it’s absolutely disgusting. We have a dairy farm, but we also grow hay plow hay. We grow corn. We are here in Huntington County. We also have a pheasant hunt preserve where people can come and hunt pheasants out of the two farms my family has. It is an absolute shame what is happening to the agricultural industry the more China keeps buying up. Our land is going to turn us into China. You do realize that right why are we not putting a stop to that?

The USA is the same as the UK in so many ways. Our Agriculture is being torn apart and down and it doesn’t make sense. There are so many parallels with UK,USA & EUR – we seem to be heading towards Doom and it really gets me down because I think it’s a WEF PLAN & I worry about what comes next & what is planned for us all.

I live in Nebraska, and our state is on fire. For the past two months, Oklahoma, Kansas, and Nebraska farmland has been on fire. Cattle are being culled, grazing land is scorched, farms/ranches are getting desolated. Enjoy beef while you can.

I’m a small dairy farmer. The big corporations aren’t destroying farmers, we’re destroying our selves. Too many of them need to go cry about their problems to the world like this guy. They should be at home, figuring out their shortcomings, and making changes and better managing their business. Zach, you’re making those of us who actually do a good job look pathetic.

so why is the US poisoning its citizens but, we have to pay taxes for us to get buy. No people = No Taxes paid in, so where in that lies the truth?
It depends on the state, but I do think its a actually possible for strong governors to strong arm the federal government, but it would have to be somewhat national. Essentially a group of 10-15 governors from states which have more permissive political party laws. You will never get a Democrat or Republican to push federalism, they will use it as a crudgel against each other. It needs to be a local grown party, a regional party. They would need to win the state then systematically remove federal partisans from state positions until it is the regional party/party’s. Then all at once the governors would need to disband the national guard and reorder them as state guard, only to be called up by congressional declarations of war. Then nullify the 16th Amendment, if 10-15 governors announce that their states federal taxes will no longer be paid well that is 1/5th – 1/4 of all taxes collected (depending on state) from there the governors can either give the money back to their citizens OR use those federal taxes themselves for a short period and rebuild crumbling infrastructure, services the like.
It is still possible, and if we are concerned that we will never unify ok… Cannibalize the states surrounding those 10-15 regional party controlled governments. Make a push to lower the amount of states to a reasonable number, it takes a 2/3ds majority of states to call a convention of the states. 36 out of 50? Not going to happen, 20 out of 30? 16 out of 24? It becomes a lot more doable. And its legal, incentivize counties from surrounding regions to vote to secede from their states and join one of the 15.
Where it goes from there I couldn’t tell you. But corporations are too powerful and too connected small states cant compete with them without their investment. But if multiple states were the size of say California in terms of population and resource availability, well that changes the math.
So I do not lament. But Americans would need to agree collectively that both federal parties are the problem. Instead of focusing on federal elections, we need to prioritize state elections. And for anyone who still thinks this idea is impossible, look at the greater idaho movement, look at the Illinois seccesionist movement and I believe there is something out of west Virginia currently. It can be done.
Also a case can be levied to the Supreme court that the federal government has failed to follow its chartered mandate of holding the purse. By wasting 100 years worth of blood, treasure and property, the federal government has indebted its citizens, hollowed out citizen driven business, allowed american land to be owned by foreigners and foreign governments. Cite the sovereign debt crisis as well. State governments may have no choice to do this and transition away from the dollar because eventually that debt is due. And how is the federal government gonna pay that? By leaving the bag in citizens hands to be worked off for GENERATIONS.

Huh? The country isn’t even remotely sustainable through family farmers. This is a non starter issue that’s been propelled to the front lines by propaganda. Keep crying about it too, won’t help you any. The best anyone can do is learn to be as self sustaining as possible if they’re that worried, but it’s just life, it ends no matter what.
