I don’t usually check out Shawn Ryan clips so that I can cry on a Monday afternoon but I guess I did not know what was in store for me today.
I wrote that letter too. I am grateful I got to throw it away.

Haveing to write 1 of those was the hardest part of my whole deployment. Rest easy my brothers and sisters in arms u will never b forgotten in my corner of the world.
Shawn thank you so much for putting this out there I served under 1Lt Weaver in Afghanistan. He was a true leader and even better person. Again I thank you for sharing this on your platform so many have forgotten about the sacrifices so many have made. Charlie Mike brother.

I couldn’t imagine having to write a letter like that but if I did this would be the one to follow and learn from.
