Yeah in theory it’s true but it would take like WAAAAY more nukes than yall think to cause this to happen on such a catastrophic level. There would likely be PLENTY of safe areas (places with no people or buildings = not a target) and radiation would be scarce enough to walk around outside in maybe 3-4 days a week or two maximum. I use to think how to prepare myself to survive something like this,you know,build a shelter,canned food,water filter,etc….
In recent years I change my mind,I DON’T WANT TO SURVIVE A NUCLEAR WINTER
For some reason I think that this is a BS theory intentionally spread by the scientific community, same as the other things.
Or they are calculating it as if every city in earth would be burning at the same time. And even then who knows if that would have that level of an effect.

Yeah except that modern calculations and computer models proved that Carl Sagan was 100% wrong. First of all nuclear weapons don’t spread soot and dirt into the air. They are exploded over the city so they actually force the blast down into the ground not up into the air. Second nuclear weapons are not atom bombs like at Hiroshima and Nagasaki. They are hydrogen thermonuclear bombs which create almost no radiation but instead create massive explosions and heat. Third the reality of nuclear weapons is that even though we like to think of them as 10,000 separate bombs. They’re not. They are clusters together. We simply have 10,000 nuclear warheads. With around 12-16 warheads each. That means that there’s more like 800-1,500 total actual nuclear weapons. Assuming the same rate that normal missiles are shot down, specifically with the new laser air defense weapons we have and the ability for our GPS and Russias glosnass to immediately target and identity incoming nuclear weapons. We can say that 90% of them would be shot down before they ever got to their target.
So basically around 150 total missiles actually hit their target, and maybe 1,000 total warheads are actually deployed. Each warhead is about 500 kilotons. Definitely a massive explosion that would devastate a city or military base or industrial complex. However absolutely not enough to kill everyone on earth and definitely not enough to blot out the sun for years. Also that’s assuming that we fire every nuclear weapon at the exact same time which would never happen. First you wouldn’t want to risk not having a back up for future use and also the decision to launch a nuclear weapon would ultimately be done only to try and get the other side to back down and negotiate peace. If you just blow up the world there’s literally no point to it
It’s all BS that a bunch of nuclear alarmist professors made up during the Vietnam war era to try and get us to give up nuclear weapons.
So those 41 trillion in bunkers aren’t the plot of fallout?
