I noticed they absolutely do not allow kids to program or code.
Unfortunately for this guy, we no longer need the skills he was raised with. The leap in technology has allowed for almost evolutionary levels of change in the human experience. 🤷🏻♂️ We are on the ever increasing pace to cyborg assimilation and there ain’t nothing we can do about it.
The Flynn effect was put down to people having more education but less critical thinking, humans as a whole wouldn’t get 3 IQ points higher every 10 years or the average person would be twice as smart as a person 350 years ago
And let’s not forget.
Nobody really knows what AI is. The bots are different. AI itself is a mystery..
It’s crazy.. how our world resembles computer chips. Is it only when this AI manifests? Because nature (3.14) does not correlate with the precise creations of computers. Very confusing, AI, phantom like. Our body follows nature. The soul would too? It’s complicated if you try and make sense of it all (deceptive) but it’s very simple when you just accept it as is. We’ve been warned. The Bible is incredibly complex.. and, it’s a tradition of mentally understanding this existence. To deny the Bible of its wisdom is just silly. Maybe the stories are passed down folklore, maybe they’re real events. But one thing is true. The Bible is a wisdom far more advanced than our brains can understand in this point of time. We got stupid. Right around when this computing machine was worshipped ahead of respect for the life surrounding us.
I TALKED ABOUT THIS IN A GROUP…PART OF THE PROBLEM IS WRITING…THEY DON’T KNOW HOW TO WRITE ANYMORE…THEY CAN’T READ CURSIVE…WHEN YOU RIGHT SOMTHING DOWN PHYSICALLY IT REPEATS IN YOUR BRAIN…TYPING DOESN’T DO THAT…AND THEY’RE NOT EVEN DOING THAT NOW THEY USE THEIR VOICE TO TYPE…THESE PEOPLE WILL HAVE CHILDREN AND THEY’RE TOTALLY ILLITERATE…NO WONDER THEY DON’T UNDERSTAND THE CONCEPTS THAT YOU TRY TO CONVERSE WITH THEM ON…
America had excellent education until diversity spread like a plague. You can see the test scores begin to precipitously fall off after the 1960s changed who was allowed to immigrate to this country.
I feel way way more stupid than I ever have. I think it’s well accepted children and young adults are much quicker and absorb info like a sponge. However, even with that in consideration, I just feel . . . Well, stupid. I don’t know how else to explain it. My cognitive ability, my memory, my ability to see things at large scale . . . It’s diminishing like crazy. The effects of aging were not this drastic for all the generations that came before me
If technology were a shovel. Humanity would use it as a big spoon.

I am his age and thinking they are learning things faster than we did. Also have technology in ways we didn’t have. I just bought another tent (the last one was blown away in a tornado). That my 12 yr old little girl will go sleep in under the stars outside, sort of.

That’s common sense to me but not so common in the world. I’ve always thought for myself but people I know both younger and older don’t. It’s just not only do I not function well being told what to do or how to do it, but I have benefited in the long run. Also thinking and doing for others is negatively impacting for myself and them.

I think that it’s not the generation is less intelligent but that they’re learning in such a vastly different way than previous generations. You don’t need to learn to form a letter when writing because it’s already there. You don’t need to retain that Cleopatra was married twice and both times to her brothers because it’s 3 seconds away with the computer in your pocket. Math problem? Calculator in your pocket. Want to know how that math problem is solved computer in your pocket. Y’all are stuck in a linear learning cycle but this generation is learning exponentially faster the things that will keep them alive in this new world YOU created.

I disagree. It’s how the technology is being used. Right now it used to consume your attention and remove thinking form the entire process.
It’s not our horrible dumbed down culture or educational system? Short form video? Lack of attention or dedication to anything. We don’t have an IQ problem we have a motivation problem to learn and improve.
Actually, that happened with Gen Y. They know less that Gen X and that was for the first time ever. Gen Y and Gen Z both have low IQs, lower than Boomers and Gen X.

Well, our demographics have changed which is a huge factor. If you only take schools in…homogenous…school districts, our test scores are the third highest on the planet. It’s also why our average height skews low.
