So tell me this if that’s where they learned that it created poisonous Fallout if it actually worked with the bombs before that meaning Hiroshima and Nagasaki that they created poisonous Fallout why did they immediately rebuild those cities and still live there to this day? I also don’t think I ever heard of any genetic problems from that though I do know that there was a lot of injured from the actual blast and it got worse as the days went on.
If our greatest allie Israel didnt steal the nuke research and sell it to Russia there wouldnt have been an arms race.

For refrence, Castle Bravo was 15 megatons, and it was actually bigger than anticipated (iirc)
But the Tsar Bomb was 50 megatons, and again, iirc, they actually halfed its yield before they tested it.

There is a massive difference between airburst and ground detonation (or direct impact)

There were 23 nuclear tests at bikini, at roughly ground level or below, this is what made it still radioactive today, vs Hiroshima and Nagasaki were single shots and at 800 meters, that’s why they are habitable. Castle Bravo on bikini was also 1000 times larger than Hiroshima/Nagasaki.

Had to look it up again: 24 nukes were detonated at Bikini across ’46-’58. The Baker test in July of 46 was detonated 90 ft underwater and caused a massive radiation incident. On March 1 ’54 they detonated Castle Bravo, a fusion thermonuclear bomb 1000x stronger than Hiroshima. It was 2.5x stronger than predicted and also caused an international radiation incident leading to the global agreement to no more atmosphere or water tests. The residents of surrounding islands were heavily affected and eventually given a $300mil trust fund and aid

So if the island is so uninhabitable than by that logic Nagasaki in Hiroshima should be Ghost Town, but I know that they’re not, and what about the Russian nuclear meltdown? There’s lots of plant life and animal life thriving in that area now so this doesn’t make sense.
That’s why spongebob’s home on the ocean floor is called bikini bottom.
But Hiroshima and Nagasaki are habitable and thriving metropolises.
