The problem is that a lot of AI cybersecurity reports on open source projects are utter baloney and not fit for human checking. Lazy idiots have been trying to make money on bug bounties by throwing AI at a repo and throwing every result at the maintainers to see what sticks.
Doing it in-house where there is an expectation of testing the vulnerabilities and a criterion for what is a valid vulnerability is the only sane way to do it.
