Kinda funny a Seal telling another Seal about BUDS.
Never experienced military PT or anything like hell week but I was a farm boy. My “hell week” was the years my dad had the brilliant idea to bale peanut hay. It was 80% hay 20% sand. Bales weighed 120lbs. I couldn’t even get them 5 high on his flatbed. Spent many nights with hamstrings, quads, calfs, and biceps fully cramping. Digging hay buggers out of my nose.

Did construction my whole life and baled 25k bales a year on the farm after work from spring to fall. I stacked wagons and had to throw them into the hay loft. I handled every single bale at least twice. 80-100lbs dense. I’ve roofed my fair share in 100+ degree days and still hit the gym after all of it.. but hell week.. I’m not a strong swimmer 😂
Dairy farmers have hellweek every week 😆

Had an amish kid in our platoon. You couldn’t wear him out. His only problem was he hadn’t seen much outside the amish community. Everything was barney style and he caught on quick. Good guy.

Nothing sucks more than freezing your ass off in cold water. I went through a surf rescue course the week after cold water came through the beaches. The water was literally 10 degrees warmer the week before. Now it was so goddamn cold none of us could piss in our wet suit to keep warm. Even the girl in the class couldn’t.
Do guys get drug tested during training? It seems that there would be a HIGH demand for stimulants and pain killers!

At 5 years old, In the winter, I would have to bicycle at 4:00 a.m. to the forest 5 mi away to cut Wood and branches following my dad all day, then pull it all out to the road..
When finished we would load up a horse carriage full of branches like in those Chinese videos, I would throw my bicycle on top of the branches and fall asleep, while the horse would take like an hour and a half to get back home 😂
I never got tired of doing farm work as much as doing this..
We would also dig septic holes. When I was 15 I would finish 12 footer alone, before noon, for $100

That is insane. Comparing seal training to a life that you didn’t choose but is what you was dealt with in life when growing up in a family that eating and surviving go hand and hand being accomplished with hardwork.
I don’t even have an ounce of delusion in me that thinks I could survive hell week. And I’m proud to say that
