My work has a ton of engineers. Math is all that can’t apply.
Interesting. What did he say to Jeffrey on Christmas day 2012?
FACTS
If they taught children that way more people would be successful. Thats why they design the education system for people that use one side of their brain. Creative people struggle. I’ve met many doctors that have zero common sense but can recite medical books
Education bothers me more than everything else. The internet saved us all.
Exactly why im rhe boss with no degrees and the people working for me are college educated 😂😂😂😂 they luck i even deal with them idc about ur degrees i need the experience thankfully they have it now.
That is why mechanics hate engineers.
This may be true for a lot of fields, but def not for medicine lol
It’s the same in trade schools, new graduates don’t know how to do the job
The best way to teach someone something is to first delineate, in great detail, everything not to do.
don’t do that
Thats why I told the dean of the engineering department after my first year at Virginia Tech to go pound sand.
Oh you make so much sense!
Because school is a scam
And then elon tried to party with pdfs
It should be 80% hands on anyway because students use AI to write papers and do equations anyway. Why keep making us pay for educations that AI is doing for us
There’s absolutely not 1000 of different screwdrivers
Personal trainer here.
We were tested on the greek and latin names for parts of the inner body, the inner body, when in the good F while working coaching am i going to need to tell a client about the microbiology of the muscle or the valve of their heart? Then at the end they give you OPTIONAL answers, 100% pass rate and then they send a bunch of idiots off “qualified” to advise elderly people new to the gym…
“The quality of education given to the lower class must be of the poorest sort, so that the moat of ignorance isolating the inferior class from the superior class is and remains incomprehensible to the inferior class.” -Milton William Cooper
Education needs to adapt
lol 😅… if only you knew what slipped through the cracks.
Completely agree. I got all the math teachers that were of the opinion that you should want to learn math For the Love of learning math. fuck that I want to know practical examples of where this is used in the real world
Start young maybe build stuff for fun at school
Bring back child labor ?😂 12+ go be interns at 3 different businesses in different fields in periods of 2 1/2 hours each . It would take a workload off hard working Americans and give the kids the education they need . Depending how you look at it 😅
YYYAAASSSS for Pete’s sake!!!
Our whole high school failed mid term tests because of a curriculum change halfway through 10th -11th grade they did this right at testing time 😂🎉 yea they don’t teach what is needed to survive just enough to keep everyone dumbed down. And working for free or close to it
Bro just described the Marine Corps without actually describing the Marine Corps
I would think your brain would absorb the math better at younger age.. no?
And you shouldn’t be an engineer unless you’ve proven that you understand what it means to work on, build, fix etc. Engineers live in theory, not reality.
Who is this kid? He is absolutely amazing!!! Smart young man
everyone knows the American education system is designed to produce obedient wage slaves and suppress creative thinking and actual problem solving, and every teacher is complicit in that. the whole goal is to keep the poor people broke and obedient. they’re all responsible for keeping that going.
Because if you were to learn “engineering” first before the trigonometry calculus and other stuff people would quit before getting their masters, and a lot of places would hire people that didn’t have bachelor’s or masters but thoroughly passed the engineering portion
Charging outrageous dollars to learn obsolete or inadequate skills.
Shawn should interview Casey Putsch of Ohio.
Whoever program ed codding 3000mm or 68,000mm can go kick rocks 100
Absolutely. Auto technician here. I was an engineer before switching trades. They did not teach engineering. Or CAD. They had one semester course on cad but never taught how to apply it. Also I learned surveying by going out and doing it. Never in college did I learn much of anything except lots and lots of equations.
Hence the reason community colleges are so much better… same education but practical classes that actually apply skill into the education..
This is exactly what has made me crazy for years….hands on is soooo much better…practical application teaches HOW to learn …. not just WHAT to learn.
I’ve said for years the school system needed reevaluating. It didn’t make sense even when I was a child 😥
As a welder/fabricator turned CAD student at a local CC some of my fellow students are a whiz with the software but not so much thinking through a design from concept to final version. I personally can see the uncreated design spatially in my mind but I am having to play catch up with regaining computer skill that have long been dormant and from much older machines and operating systems to get my vision on the screen. It takes a very special individual to be good at it all and It is something I appreciate much more about the amazing creations they give society.
He’s right!!!!
Understanding how things work allow critical thinking for code complex issues. Math is only a language. It doesn’t justify decisions. God bless ❤🇺🇲
The sad part is we all know the truth already…. Society is too far gone
As a hiring manager even in tech, people wonder why I don’t want fresh grads. Most have never worked ANY job before and they also never learned how to build shit for an enterprise in college.
That’s why I told my girlfriend to Open her coffee shop first and learn the ropes. Then get your business degree later. 😂
It’s well known by people who have some kind of skills that school and classes teach you nothing, all skills are learned on the ground. We treat people that just finish school like they don’t know anything.
Learning a software system is very rote. Learning the science and maths that it is used for is bigger and more interconnected. I agree that there needs to be much hands on experience before getting deep into theory. The stuff about twisting a screwdriver seems like a baroque analogy.
This is exactly why the scientist that can design a rocket ship is not the one building it.the one building it can’t design it. You can take smart people to Mars but the ruff and tuff one will be the ones pushing the boundaries of staying alive.
you’ll never really learn anything sitting in a classroom
Dolph Lundgren played Drago in Rocky IV. He dropped out of MIT to pursue acting, & he already had a Masters in Chemical Engineering. The Scandinavian Chad was also a European Karate champion. Maybe, the MIT curriculum he took was too boring.
Our family business trains sonographers and we’re private (no government funding means less government regulations) and their very first day is in a live clinic dealing with live patients holding real ultrasound probes. This video is 100% accurate about most major universities, go for smaller institutions or trade schools (we started as a trade school)
