Solar will never be 100% efficient. Its impossible you can never capture 100% of the suns energy. Nuclear is way more efficient.

On site solar is highly efficient at probably 90% with losses converting to AC. Panel conversion of light might be 23% but that is not system efficiency, the input if free. This guy is spewing garbage. Combustion from diesel or coal is very low efficiency. Transmission losses at higher voltage is about 5%.
Some energy is always going to be lost through entropy. Theres no way currently to account for every factor so the energy lost through whatever medium is called entropy.

To say solar panels don’t work in a low solar geographical area of the planet as if we shouldn’t use solar is asinine and beyond moronic. I could be wrong but that’s what this clip’s vibes are giving off. Not to mention solar to energy box or battery is very efficient. It’s why people get solar systems because of the loss of electricity in powerlines. That’s what raises your home electric costs, fluctuating transmission rates.
