This must be a cult thing. They did this to students at the boarding school I went to in the 90’s. The school was ultimately found guilty of numerous abuse allegations. This was not the worst accusation.

Since I don’t know the context of the clip I can’t make a judgement. I’m not a fan of making children eat what they don’t want to eat. This is only acceptable in a survival situation.
Was it actual vomit or was this food that had entered your mouth and chewed a little bit and then spit onto the plate ? Cause that is a difference

I have lived my entire life weirded out about occasions where I had to eat at others’ houses because food was used to abuse me as I had become extremely picky after some traumatic event. I was shown the old National Geographic magazine cover with the little starving child & told that was going to me, before being blown away in the wind because I wouldn’t eat. Then I had food shoved down my throat being stabbed in my mouth, tongue with a fork at around six years old. This was during being abused by at least five “people” in every way imaginable.
Being a picky eater is in fact a mental illness
My grandmother stabbed my aunt because my aunt reached across the dinner table to grab the salt. She got stabbed because she reached instead of asking for someone to pass it.

We should talk about the “Christian” facilities for “troubled” youths. I have a bit more experience in that area than most.
I understand completely where she’s coming from…..I was adopted through the Catholic adoption agency as an infant when my mother gave me up to the orphanage. You would think that if you get adopted to a family, they would be loving. It doesn’t always turn out to be a happy story. I was adopted into a family that turned out to be hell on Earth. If one can persevere from this childhood, that person can survive any obstacle! It’s probably why I thrived so much when I served our country in the military . God bless this woman!

I’m 31 years old and I’ve never eaten Salad
This reminded me of when I was 6. I had a step mother that was so evil. She made this gross macaroni and rice mixture, and the texture AND taste made me vomit halfway through. Her and my dad took shifts and I had to sit at the table all night until I ate every bite. Every time I dozed off, I was slapped or kicked awake. I couldn’t touch box macaroni ever again after that. No worries, I have worked through my trauma and am not attached to this. Her story made me think about this. And the only reason I got to get up is because it was time for school.
First world problems, for sure. Lol.

Another perspective to this: what she is describing is precisely what ppl will endure with the coming all out enforcement of the police state (it’s already here , they just haven’t created the plausible reason to reveal it openly yet…they’re too busy making the list of the first examples).
Mine was called 3 springs in the mountains of North Carolina 96 to 97 I spent over a year there. We slept down in a holler in the middle of the woods on a wooden floor with sleeping bags that left you freezing in the winter. One shower a week 3 minutes to eat your meal absolute hell. Rock marches all night long through snow and ice in cold rain. Encounters with black bears mountain lions. Kids rping each other
Grew up a military brat.

None of this is documented, meaning she could be lying about absolutely everything that happened there just to make it seem worse than it was. She may be telling the truth as well but legally, it’s nonsense
This is the epitome of “Spare the Rod Spoil the Child”. Their last ditch effort was so extreme that all the necessary lifetime discipline was traumatic. Did she learn?
Seems like the parents made the right decision to send her there.
