My Moms popcorn bowl was wood
I actually get the dad. Popcorn bowl in anything wood or plastic. Popcorn bowl in ceramic just feels wrong. WRONG.
I don’t think I realised how American popcorn is till now why do you have a specific bowl for it how often are you eating popcorn at home?

The popcorn bowl I had as a child was the same as the cleaning bowl, which is which is the same as the puking bowl.. they had completely new and good bowls, but we had to use the detergent and puke, microplastic flaking, 20+ year old, nasty bowl for some reason..
When i was a kid i used my dads cereal bowl for spaghetti os and he lost his mind and threw the bowl away.
This is the only thing I’ve ever agreed on Bobby with !!

Popcorn kernels will melt regular plastic bowls. We used to use a hot air popper for popping popcorn (like a hair dryer) before microwave popcorn came out. The hot air also melts the bowl and warps it. A metal or glass bowl gets too hot. That’s probably why the wooden bowl is the popcorn bowl.
Bought one of those Acacia wooden bowls specifically for using as a popcorn bowl when I got my first house it is a rite of passage it is a Nostalgia thing they’re great bowls
