Why did nasa copy and paste clouds on the earth pics from the Apollo? So much valid points yet Matt is closed off when it comes to the moon 😂
I don’t like Joe’s reasoning of why it doesn’t make sense we haven’t gone back to the moon, physics and basic logistics make it unfeasible and illogical to mine the moon, to begin with you would have to send both people and equipment to do so, this would make the rockets extremely heavy which would consume a stupid amount of fuel and that fuel makes rockets even heavier which is why multi-stage detachable rockets are the norm so you can lighten the load the higher you go up, and even if you accomplish the feat of reaching the moon with enough equipment to sustain life long enough to profit from mining expeditions to the moon, how do you return to earth with the extremely heavy metals you extracted from the moon because you can’t just drop them back to earth, transportation cost of these rare minerals would be more expensive than getting to them, and even then if you manage introduce this massive amount of resources from the moon into the worldwide economy their price would substantially decrease, lowering the financial incentive of mining these hard to obtain or otherwise scarce mineral in the moon

Good talk. Two of my favorites. Somehow ended up on the moon.
I asked Grok about Van Allen radiation belts. Seems like they’re a real factor, but not a hard limit that prevents us from going into space. We go through fast, use shielding, and try to time it right. Apparently here are two major belts and the outer one is affected by the Sun. Hard and dangerous, but not impossible. Brave and smart people exist. Joe said himself that the whole argument hinges on the belts, but he just assumes on first hearing that they’re impassible.
As for the Manhattan Project being such a success at keeping secrets, the Manhattatn Project has been public knowledge for a long time, longer than the moon landing to now. So even if the moon landing were a secret hoax, we could expect it to be public knowledge now just LIKE the Manhattan Project. It’s an example that we DON’T keep high-level secrets forever.
53:26 Rogan’s arguments against the moon landing being real are the typical ones that have been debunked numerous times. The resources went towards other programs, so going back to the moon wasn’t prioritised, and it costs a lot of money. The radiation was lower at the point they entered it and they did it for a minimal amount of time, and had other mitigations… The flight was listened to by countries outside of the US and it could be verified that way. The reflection issue was also explained (something to do with the contrast of the shuttle, suits etc, the contrast with the darkness of space, and the sun’s position, I can’t remember the details). There are very detailed documentaries on this. The hoax theories are all speculation and questions rather than proof.
1:15:24 The climate crisis nonsense isn’t because we have a problem that mining the moon would fix, it’s about money and control that has already been working pretty well for elites/politicians in the West, without expensive space programs. And they can virtue signal about Ukraine, Israel etc, and enjoy the power of controlling and interfering in other countries, while also making money on that. No need to look elsewhere.
I’m just wondering why Matt is so hell bent on telling Joe he is wrong about the moon landing being faked. I don’t have an opinion on it really cause I haven’t looked into it but I mean it’s a possibility of either way, it actually happened or not. The moon landing conversation was a very interesting testament to human psychology, where it’s apparent that if someone really wants to believe something, they will regardless of how much information or evidence is put in front of them. I’m not saying that Matt should have been convinced that we didn’t go to the moon based on this brief conversation, but Joe presented enough information that whether or not it happened is definitely questionable. However, Matt is still 100% convinced that the government should be trusted on this matter despite all of the other matters that we were misinformed on.
Oh my, Rogan. Before you jump into the idiocy of moon-landing denial, talk to one of the astronauts who went there. Look into the evidence that easily debunks the deniers. Let go of the Van Allen belt claim. We naively flew right through it. It didn’t harm the astronauts.

Flat Earth theories took off like wildfire due to the posts, videos, and full on accounts being deleted by FaceBook, YouTube, and other platforms. Very intelligent people were sucked in because it looked like information was being hidden. This was at the height of online sensorship.
