These Iraq stories of soldiers are embarrassing. Why are they not all walking to Washington to get reparations. Many men lost. Many of them homeless now. For nothing. Literally nothing. And they still try to villainize Iraqis for defending their homes

Couldn’t live with myself if my dog was killed instead of me – the guilt would kill me anyway!😢 I bet they were Belgian Malinois – I have the absolute PLEASURE of owning one as a pet❤He’s loyal (like every dog), a dream to train, he’s super intelligent, he misses NOTHING and would kill anyone who tried to harm his family.
The thought of sending him into a warzone is akin to sending in my kid!
Whilst Malinois are built to never give up & fear nothing, I DO NOT AGREE with animals being taken to war, caused by man! Dogs can’t ‘agree’ to fight on our behalf….but due to their protective loyal nature, they guard us with their lives.
R.I.P. to EVERY animal that gave up their beautiful souls because of mans’ inability to live peacefully with each other!😢

Before anyone says anything, I live & grew in N. Ireland during ‘The Troubles’ – a warzone for most of my life; I was taken hostage by a terrorist when I was a 19yr old girl….I’ve never recovered from that ordeal, like so many others here. But STILL, I would never let a dog or any other animal die in my name.
When one of those dogs are captured they are used against our soldiers with video mocking. They torture the dogs.
All these super heroes…vetted none…you just got another show of ya i did that…

In 2005 OIF3 I was in the 7th Cav. We had a similar situation and used a Bradley… there’s no one I’d rather go to war with than the mechanized infantry

I was in N. Iraq when Uday and Qusay were taken out. I heard the whole thing on the TACSAT calling for gunships and armor. We didn’t know who the targets were at the time but we knew they were high value. RIP those dogs.
When you think about it, it’s disgusting that we humans are using dogs in a war that we create to save us when the shit gets too deep. I get the dogs have purpose but I still find it disgusting. The dogs don’t create wars and they don’t understand bullets they fight face to face and the loser dies. This is not a fair fight.

The fact that they wouldn’t go in but they would send their dogs, doesn’t sit right with me. Those dogs deserved to be treated like another one of the team but they are treated as disposable. It’s hard to respect people that operate in this way. That room could have been blown up before the dogs were killed.
