One night, when I simply couldn’t go on anymore, I waited for my mother to fall asleep, kissed her, and lay down next to her. Ten minutes before that, I took her three-month supply of high blood pressure medication, followed by my own for sleep—opiates, benzodiazepines—and swallowed it all. I woke up about two hours later completely sober, but then I remembered what I had done and got scared that my kidneys or some other organ might be damaged. I went to the emergency room.
The doctor on duty didn’t believe I had done it, saying, “If you had done that, you wouldn’t be standing here in front of me right now!”
I went back home, and life went on!
Does anyone think God truly intervened in my case, because this really happened and I have never spoken to anyone about it?

People nowadays quickly assume that someone is lying about anything.,why would I lie about this to a ‘stranger?’
I understand this so much because I too am missing 5 hours and I don’t know what happened I was high and drunk out of my mind I was in San Jose and I drove all the way to the 580 or 680 and then I don’t remember a thing when I came to I was in the middle of Santa Cruz and 5 hours is missing. Sean Ryan if you ask Holy Spirit he will bring into remembrance somebody or even yourself prayed for yourself long ago because that’s what happened to me God answered my prayer when I was younger should I ever go astray, that he would just save me and He did
I was driving my daughter to college with her sisters in the truck. She only had 2 days from HS graduation until she had to be at MIT for a summer program before her freshman year. I woke up at 4am when the car made a hard turn out of my lane. I saw a semi that the truck missed by about 4 ft going 95 with the cruise set. My angel saved us. Thank you God.

Shawn I feel that so much. After Iraq I came back and after losing someone I knew over there….I came back and lost my best friend. I was drinking heavy and I tried to shoot myself 3 times and the rounds didnt go off. It made me understand that day I had a purpose. I now have kids and loving wife. I dont drink anymore and truly understand how lucky I am. A lot of the ones I knew were not so lucky!!! I know they are looking down on me smiling. Jesus is real and does save. I know evil is real and experienced it so never doubt that good prevails. Don’t let the inner demons win!!!

It is a testament to how much life can change for a person. If anyone is having a tough time in life, just remember, tommorow will be brighter, weather the storm, it will eventually get better. I ingested 2-3× the lethal dose of 2 seperate painkillers..
I was alone several miles out of town, and sure to not be found for a few days in the least.
I put myself into a coma that lasted nearly 3 days.
However, on the 3rd night I was abruptly awakened with just enough of a charge on my phone battery to call a friend and give my location to get picked up since I was too impaired to drive out of there.
There was no organ damage done and life went on.
Divine intervention is the only thing that makes sense to me, cause I really should’ve been wiped out..

I was a fentanyl addict and someone purposely oded me with a huge shot to rob me of my guns, I woke up on my floor, sprawled out with a huge gasp. Ive oded many times but saved by narcan and its not how it happens. I was supposed to die that day in my mothers basement. But I was giving one last breath to bring me back. Sadly, I haven’t done anything in the 6 years to give back for my second breath. I hope I can someday.

God or angels had nothing to do with you just being too drunk to realise what you were doing and sometimes we get to that stage but realise what we’re leaving behind, my kids in my head are the only reason I didn’t do anything…. If I hadn’t had them I wouldn’t be here typing this
