Mars has no magnetosphere there’s nothing to protect the constant department of the radiation of the sun. That’s why it has no atmosphere. It’s way uninhabitable there’s no turning green.

The sheer stupidity in terraforming mars is lost on everybody? That planet has no magnetosphere any athmosphere you create there will be lost to solar winds! Mars will NEVER be terraformed… it quite simply makes no fkn sense!
Having a colony there, ok, maybe even some domes if we figure out some sort of transparent lead or something… but terraforming is out of the question…

It is amazing to have a dream to go where no man has gone before. It is also amazing to do that with principle dignity and with respect for everyone and every thing involved. How we live our lives and reach our goals matters. Be brave and do it right. Funneling money and power to one individual is bad. Funneling money to a project to benefit all is good. Balancing projects for the benefit of all is good. Including all life is good. Being kind is good. Focus people! Make sure those who are leading us are good. Power and money belong to the people as a collective whole. We need to come together as one people, hopefully two planets. Let us not be distracted about how important every life is.

Mars will never be inhabited/ inhabitable –
1) it gets 1/10 the sun light. Ignoring the fact that plants won’t like that, IF we could make solar panels 10X better/more efficient than current ones- then we wouldn’t need to colonize Mars.
2) there is no atmosphere
3) it is warmer at Antarctica than the best location on Mars (see point 1 to know why).
4) there is no fresh water. They talk about see stuff that indicates there MIGHT HAVE ONCE BEEN, but scientists have found no water on Mars.
Adding those 4 up – The South Pole is 100x more hospitable for humans to live /colonize …. And we’re struggling to do that.
5) we haven’t even talked about the affect diminished gravity will have on humans and plants.
6) we haven’t even talked about the amount of earth’s natural resources needed to get Mars “up and running” … and that’s IF points 1-5 didn’t exist … but they do!

Mars cannot become like earth. It never will. It lost its magnetosphere leaving any chance of atmosphere even if somehow brought 40% of earth’s wich would be necessary it would get blown away. You would have to restart a planet’s core. Well have craft that can warp space and go anywhere to habitable planets with a fraction of the energy or resources or time

The idea of making mars livable is kind of dumb when the resources could be used to send mankind to other stars. Today we gave the ability to see so much more. Building a starship would be a better goal even if it takes generations to get there.
Just so we’re all on the same page, these rockets seat about 100 passengers. It would take close to 9,000 rockets to move 0.01% of the population.
