There was a young black kid who developed that same trait a few years ago (on his own) after having a rare form of eye cancerโฆ when they scanned his brain all the areas responsible for vision were still lighting up despite having no functioning eyes or visual perceptionโฆ his brain rewired itself! Unfortunately that cancer came back and ended up taking his life which is pretty sad, but itโs an incredible example of human resiliency and ability to adapt
