It takes hundreds of thousands of dollars to get to the south pole to run around a pole naked?! SERIOUSLY?!
Hundreds of thousands of dollars just to do something ridiculous to say that you’re one of the rare people , stupid enough to spend all that money. I was a single mom and things were always financially tight. Two times a year I would splurge and buy something for the house or myself on my birthday and Christmas. But I made it a priority to donate at least $100 per month to those who didn’t have what I had. Water, Food Harvest, Saint Jude Hospital, & Christian ministry. Even if all I could afford was $25 each, I was consistent. Even if it meant that my son and I had to eat tuna and mac and cheese and PBJ for a month , I made sure I gave to those who had less.
Jesus said that even if you give someone a glass of cold water, you will be rewarded. He said, If you do this for the least of these, you do it for me.
If everyone that had that kind of money to waste would put it to better use for the better good of the community, like how we did before when the US was young. Remember the Christian Trinity of charity, generosity and love of neighbor. 2 Timothy 3:1-5

They will be boastful and proud, scoffing at God, disobedient to their parents, and ungrateful. The addicts and the mentally ill on the street , they really need help! Not the Welfare recipients but the working poor who live paycheck to paycheck who slip in that gap where they made a little too much to get government assistance but have nowhere else to turn for a leg up or a bridge to help them during a difficult time. So much suffering right in front of our faces , and we have billionaires and millionaires doing ridiculous things like this and donating millions and billions to climate change. WHAT A JOKE!
