Iran’s Prime Minister was recently interviewed (in English) and said they had 60% enriched uranium. That’s from the horses mouth folks.
So tired of this discussion. If they wanted a bomb they could have gotten one long ago. They kept the enrichment up because it was a deterrent and a bargaining chip. Worked on Obama not on Trump. They don’t have the tech for anything scary, now if they were developing plutonium or hydrogen bombs then maybe. Pakistan is a much greater threat and they have dozens and we don’t mess with them anymore. So the logic is for every small country to stock up now.

This is much bigger than nukes I hope yall realize that. If Iran can keep the straight closed and makes it so the market will reach 175.00-200.00 dollars a barrel; they win. Lets be honest here. The non-nuclear agreement was not a document. It was not much more than verbal. And yes Iran did allow inspectors to come in, up to a point, then they kicked the inspectors out. Shawn needs to fact check more of his guests on the fly. Maybe Shawn isn’t educated on this topic and was probably far removed from politics when this all went down.
I distinctly remember the inspectors being denied access to certain areas (lots of victim of this), and I know that Iran utilizes vast underground bunkers, shady banks, criminal organizations, etc, to fool any inspectors sent by the west. Would this dude rather that Iran NOT be sanctioned? To openly sell its oil reserves? To do business with legit banks and PR firms? Just so one inspector every 6 months might happen to open the wrong door while trying to find the bathroom and stumble into all the secret passages below an Iranian missile site?
The last time Shawn interviewed this guy I said he was full of shit. Now I’m saying it again, he’s full of shit.
Oh, and Israel isn’t driving our foreign policy, that’s just a dumb argument to make. Israel got intel that the supreme leader of Iran and his entire cabinet, which meet in secret every year or decade or whatever it is, were going to meet up in this place at that time, and another opportunity would not come around for a while. Trump was bold enough to take it. Yes, our interests are aligned, that doesn’t mean they are deciding what we do for us, let it go already.

I remember a different story, that guy isn’t saying everything. I lived those days and followed it closely. Inspectors WERE reported to have been denied access and the other inspections felt curated. I remember those reports coming from several news sources.
Why then were they enriching uranium to 60%? There is no reason to enrich that high unless it is to reach the weapons grade of 90%. Nuclear power only requires enrichment of 3-5%.
I’m sorry, but didn’t the CIA literally just release satellite images of bases like Fordow and Natanz being rebuilt after operation Midnight Hammer? And didn’t Iran have 440.9 kilograms of uranium enriched up to 60% purity?

Negotiators said they had a nuclear weapon and would not agree to our terms.
They also stated, they could enrich Uranium from 60% to 90% within a number of hours.
Negotiations ceased, and the decision was made, based on their claims and other intelligence sources.
