Pretty much every think tank and war studies institute says that China is 8 to 10 years away from being able to wage a successful non nuclear war. That was as of 2025. They import 90% of there oil, which they have to have to continue there military and industrial growth. If the US continued to grow their influence in the middle east and now Venezuela, then the US will be able to slow down China’s growth, which would push further away the time line for China to be able the wage a winnable war with the US.

I wonder if China still wants Taiwan if hypersonic missile destroys Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC)?
There is not even a question if China will take Taiwan, it’s just when. And it’s on China to decide when, cause the west made 100 times clear in the last decades, that diplomacy is just a facade, and only the strong rules..

Also think of this, US is almost giving China a free pass. They invade venuzuala, now they attack Iran (unprovoked). It used to be they had to at least hold a charade vote and justification, now US is doing what it pleases. China should move soon if it wants taiwan because weve got the most simultaneous conflicts going on globally which also serves as a distraction and means countries resources are spread out.
China is in a catch 22 it needs taiwans factory but in order to get it they would have to destroy the factory in a bloody invasion that will result in world war 3. So it’s either China because desperate or they just build their own factory which I’m sure they are capable of doing

Right now China and Russia are watching us melt Iran who by proxy has been helping them. I think they severely underestimate americas tech but more importantly our experience in war. Similar to North Korea sending troops to help russia. They were all but useless, they have no real combat experience. Russia does but they cant even win against Ukraine. On paper china looks tough, in the field they will be obliterated. I doubt they enter a real war with us… it will probably be continued efforts to take us out using our own politicians or cyber attacks.
I am heartened to see AND hear the young people taking notice of what’s going on in the world and mightily seeking truth.

USA is almost out of bombs. China is about to have the best chance possible to win such a clash.
I don’t think it happens purely because China knows at this point the US would have to get involved. Tsmc is head and shoulders above any other company making semi conductors, most top tier products you own has a chip made my tsmc. China having a strangle hold on that would not be good. Tsmc is that good at what they do.
It’s never going to happen because it wasn’t going to happen. China will not take Taiwan because China for whatever reason has been playing a game with the western world ever since 1949 and that game is to bluff their way onto the world stage in order to make countries think they’re a contender when they’re not even on the same playing field. China is the biggest paper tiger in history and should be treated as such. I don’t care what this kid says because I know what I’ve read and what I’ve seen and China doesn’t have the muster that they think it would require to invade Taiwan and be successful. You can imagine that a conflict with Taiwan would probably bring at least four carrier strike groups from the United States into the fray.

Interesting how the United States thinks it can just change its mind about these sorts of things when something inconvenient like Silicon technology winds up being made on the island province of our greatest rival.

We are currently building computer chip factories in the US. We need more, faster. If China invades Taiwan those chip factories there will be blown sky high as soon as the first shot is fired in that war.
They are already opening chip factories here in the usa literally our military and trump counter the ccp on every front
China doesn’t need to take Taiwan. Neither are going anywhere. China is 5000 years old. It will absorb Taiwan in the fullness of time.
That’s why Taiwan is building semiconductor plants in Arizona so they can stay alive after Taiwan burns to the ground
